Employee Self Service Software Requirement Specification

Overview: Employee self service is a web based application which enables the employee register and access their personal records, payment details, tasks etc. This application also highlights the feature of GO GREEN as it avoids paper work. MODULES: 1. Employee Registration 2. Leave Management 3. Payroll 4. Task Management MODULE 1: Employee Registration: i) Provisioning: first name Last Name Designation Gender EmployeeId Date of Birth Address, PIN Phone No. EmailId Blood Group

ii) Functionality: Registering Employees Adding/updating/removing departments Updating/removing employees iii) Queries: How many Employees are registered? How many female/male employees are working? How many employees are from a particular department?

iv) Alerts: Successfully Registered. v) Reports: No. of Employees from a particular department. Graph representing No. of male/female Employees.

MODULE 2: Leave Management Provisioning:

Provisioning for video

Functionality: Alert: Leave Request has been sent to approving Official. A mail has to be sent to approving Official and applying Leave for a particular period of time. Checking the status of Leave Cancelling Leave How many number of leaves applied by an employee in a particular month? Getting the leave Status or no. of leaves left over.

Queries:

No annual Leaves are Left.

Report: Pictorial Representation of leaves in the particular month/over a period of time. MODULE 3: Payroll Details Provisioning: CTC (Cost to Company) Month Year Increment Insurance Bonus Account no Bank name Branch Over time Amount Salary Payment by cheque/DD

Functionality: Lets the employee know all salary and transactions details in a particular month. Queries: Alerts: Bonus has been added to the account this month. Insurance has to be renewed. What was the CTC last year? How much the salary rate has been increased?

Reports:

Salary increment for over a period of time. Bonus for the last six months or one year.
