MACHINEUSE
Thismachineallowstheusertocutthecorrectsizecircularholeinmaterialbyusingthecutting tools(fig2)andthenbychangingthetoolage,tosetaneyeletandringinthathole(fig3).

IMPORTANTSAFETYINFORMATION
Beawarethattherearesharpcuttingedgesonthedies Keephandsawayfromcutters,punchesanddieswhenapplyingpressure. Ensuretheoperatingarmisfullyrotatedtotherearofthepresstopreventitfalling forwardbeforechangingoradjustingtoolageorplacingmaterialandeyeletsforsetting. Weadvisethatwhenusinganymachinerysuitableglovesandeyeprotectionshouldbe worn. Alwaysfollowmaintenanceroutinesexplainedinthemaintenancesection.

Formachinessuppliedwithoutstandardbase Beforeuse,thisequipmentmustbesecurely boltedtoasuitablebenchusingthefixingholes attherearofitsbase(fig1).

Fitthespigotintothebaseofthe machineandtightentheretaining screw.

Liftthecuttingringofthespigot andreplacewiththebottom cuttingdie.

Placearingwithitsspikes facingupwardsontheonthe bottomdie.

Placetheholeovertheeyelet withthematerialfacesideup.

Takeaneyeletandsititonthe bottomdie,pressingitdownas farasitwillgo.

Lowerthetopclosingdiedown untilitmakescontactwiththe eyeletthenapplyfirmpressure withthelevertocausethe eyelettopushthroughthe materialandrollaroundthe ring.

SUPPLEMENTARYINFORMATION

BACKSTOP

SIDESTOPPIN FIXINGSCREWS SIDESTOPSLIDE Thismachinecanbesuppliedwiththeoptionalmateriallocationstopsthatassisttheoperatorin correctlypositioningtheholesinthematerial. Thestopassemblyisattachedtothemachinewithtwofixingscrewsonthebaseplate. Toadjusteitherstopusethe5mmhexagonkeysuppliedwiththemachine. Thebackstopisusedtosetthedistanceoftheholefromtheedgeofthematerial. Thesidestopcontrolsthedistancebetweeneachoftheeyeletholes.Thisisachievedbysettingthe sidestoppintothedesireddistancethenplacingthepreviouslycutholeoverthispinwhilethenext holeiscut. Itisrecommendedthattheoperatorpracticeswithsomewastematerialfirsttopreventerrorsin calculatingthepositionoftheeyelets. MAINTENANCE 1. Regularlyoilmovingpartlightly(becarefulnotallowoiltocomeintocontactwithareasthat maytouchcurtainfabric) 2. Toensurecorrectandsafeoperationtheremustbenosidewaysmovementinthevertical squarerodthatholdsthetopdies.Withuseovertimetheadjustingscrewsonthefrontand sideofthemachinemayneedtobetightenedtoremoveanyloosenessintherodandalsoto preventthehandlefromfalling
