In Morning Worship today, we talk about
the dreams God has for us and how He
communicates His will to us. Let’s
achieve God’s dreams.
The elders need to meet for three minutes
after Morning Worship.
Brown Bag is our monthly fellowship meal
before Evening Worship. Join us at 6:00
p.m. for supper. Bring a packed meal;
desserts and beverages are provided.
Evening Worship will meet at 7:00 p.m.
We will continue our series called
Conversations with Jesus. Tonight, we
look at the Woman at the Well.
WEDNESDAY
Prayer Meeting gathers from 7:00 p.m.
until 7:45 p.m. to intercede for our
families, church, and world.
Kid’s Club, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., is
a place for kids to have fun together and
learn about God’s love.
Adult Bible Study is at 7:45 p.m. Classes
for men and women meet to study and
fellowship.
NEXT SUNDAY
Sunday School is from 9:45 a.m. - 10:45
a.m. There are classes for all ages. We
are focusing on weaving our faith into
life.
In Morning Worship, we will begin a new
sermon series about the journey with God
through life.
Evening Worship will meet at 7:00 p.m.
We will continue our series “Conversations
with Jesus” Next Sunday, we look at the
Peter and Jesus.
PROGRESSIVE DINNER SOCIAL
On January 19, we are having our
monthly church social, a progressive
dinner. We all meet at one house for a
course, another house for the next
course, and so on. We’re looking for four
families to open their homes and prepare
a portion of the meal.

church adopts January 1 as the
beginning of the year, rather than March

January 3, 1521: Pope Leo X creates a
bull of excommunication for Martin Luther
that would have deprived him of civil
rights and protection, but before its
execution, Holy Roman Emperor Charles
V allows Luther the opportunity to recant
his beliefs at the Diet of Worms. When
Luther instead affirms his beliefs, the bull is
