Link their development to personal satisfaction and the organizations goals, values, and strategic direction. Use various sources to identify, assess, and prioritize their strengths and weaknesses. Create targeted, challenging, yet realistic development goals. Execute and measure progress toward goals, making appropriate adjustments along the way. Training Agenda/Program: COURSE OVERVIEW > Prework: Prior to the workshop, participants complete Achieving Your Leadership Potential: The Handbook for Learning Leaders, Book 1. This introduces them to the development process. Activities help them determine their motivation and agility for learning and identify one strength and one weakness to be developed. > The Learning Leader: A video depicts three leaders with different approaches to developing into a better leader. Learners discuss these approachesfalling behind, keeping up, or staying aheadand how they compare with their own motivation and learning agility. From their pre-work, they describe the three phases of leadership developmentDiagnose, Plan, and Executeand its two cycles: self-reflection and discussion. > Diagnose and Select: Participants make connections between whats happening in their organizations, the Leadership Imperatives critical for success, and the groups strengths and weaknesses in those Imperatives. They discuss the high payoff of aligning these variables. Learners use a planner to identify initiatives, development goals, and skills/knowledge they need to gain. > Targeting Development: The group discusses examples of three types of high-payoff development opportunitiestraining, job experience, and coaching. They work in teams to identify opportunities that would stretch them outside their comfort zones, and record opportunities for the development goals identified earlier. The importance of their managers support is considered. > Your Personal Business Case: Learners complete a quiz to determine their receptivity to feedback and generate ideas for increasing openness to feedback. After watching a video model, learners practice preparing for and conducting a discussion with their managers to gain support for their development plans. They receive feedback from one another and amend their plans as needed. > ExecutionBridging the Knowing-Doing Gap: After a discussion emphasizing key points about the Execute phase, a quiz helps learners determine how effective they are at execution. Teams share barriers to execution and generate ideas for overcoming each. They record these in their planners and identify needed support and measurement methods. > Improving Productivity: o Examining Priorities Learners discuss criteria for determining priorities and use a toll to evaluate and prioritize their current tasks. o Conquering Procrastination Learners discuss why people procrastinate and how this appears to others. They create an action plan by applying strategies for overcoming this problem. o Handling Interruptions Learners learn how to deal with the most common interruptions and identify ways to deal with them. They learn techniques to identify ways to avoid or contain interruptions. Each learner completes and action plan for dealing with major interrupters. o Keeping yourself motivated Participants identify de-motivating situations on the job and ways to increase their motivation. o Where do you go from here? Learners develop a plan to avoid slipping back into old, non-productive behaviors. A selfevaluation helps them identify additional productivity problems.

A. Roster/List of selected personnel, no later than 5 business days prior to the beginning of the program. There will be a maximum of 11 participants for this session B. Training Facility with 2 flip charts & LCD Projector C. Secure the HEI (Higher Education Information) forms from the participants, signed and dated, for compliance with the Ohio Board of Regents training requirements. Center for Business & Industry will provide the following: A. Qualified instructor(s) assigned to each project. B. Participant evaluations of program with tabulation summary to Laura Goble C. Related materials for this program including participant workbook and preassessment materials. D. A certificate of completion will be issued to each attendee upon completion of the program E. Participant evaluations of program with tabulation summary to Laura Goble. Invoice Information: The total cost of the customized training programs for Backtrack Inc is $3,875.00. This total cost includes instructor costs, training materials and all other related costs Costs outlined in this proposal are effective for 30 days from the date of the letter of agreement being submitted.

Cancellation/Rescheduling Policy: A cancellation fee of of the cost of the contracted training will be applied if the program is not rescheduled within 30 days of the agreed upon training date.

Cancellations/Rescheduling may be made up to 10 business days prior to the agreed upon training date. Any cancellation after that date will be charged to the company at the full rate. This charge covers administrative planning, instructional and clerical preparation time Please sign and return one copy of this Training Proposal BackTrack Inc. will receive an invoice when the training begins. Payment of the invoice is due thirty days after the last class.
