Subject: Online Submission of CAP admission form for the admission to the First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2011-2012 Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra State has decided to have web based online software for receipt of the Online Application Form and Option form for admission to the First Year of Four Year Degree Courses in Engineering/Technology for the academic year 2011-2012 through multiple rounds of admission under CAP. The Directorate has identified some institutions from the state to work for the receipt of the Online Application Form and Option Form herein after referred as Application Form Receipt Centers (ARC). The list of the ARCs is attached herewith as an annexure. The Director/Principal of the identified institute should appoint one coordinator & supporting staff for this activity and communicate their names, contact numbers & e-mail address to this Directorate at arc@dte.org.in immediately. The Directorate will pay Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty Only) per receipt of online Application Form and Rs. 25/- (Rs. Twenty Five Only) per receipt per round of option form to the respective ARCs after successful completion of the admission process of the respective courses. The distribution of this amount between staff & institute will be as follows, Designation of the personnel Institute development /IRG fund Principal/Director/Chief Coordinator ARC Coordinator Equal distribution amongst Data Verification Team/ Scrutiny Team 5. 20% Equal distribution amongst Data Entry Operators 6. 2% Administrative Officer/ Registrar 8. 3% Clerks/Cashier/Telephone Operator involved in ARC activity 9. 3% Class IV staff involved in ARC activity The payment should be made to the staffs only if he/she is actively involved in the ARC activity. The expenditure for ARC and facilitation activity shall be incurred from the 50% amount deposited in Institute development /IRG fund. The required training of the operation & procedure will be provided to all the ARCs as per the schedule given bellow. The training will focus on the receipt of the Online Application Form, Document Verification/Confirmation and Online Option Form for the Degree Courses in

Engineering/Technology admission for the academic year 2011-2012. Each ARC should depute two responsible officers for the training program minimum at the level of lecturer having information technology background. The Programmers of the regional offices shall work as coordinator of the concerned region and hence they are required to attend the training programme and coordinate the ARC of the respective region for the online admission system. The Minimum infrastructure required at ARC is as follows, 1. 5 Nos. Pentium IV or higher PC for Confirmation and 10 Nos. Pentium IV or higher PC for submission of online CAP admission form. 2. A4 size flatbed Scanner 2 Nos. for scanning the documents. 3. Windows 98/2000/XP/2003/Vista/7 Operating System with up to date security & service patches 4. Microsoft Office XP/2003 /2007 at least on single machine 5. All the 15 machines should be connected through LAN with Internet facility 6. 2 Nos. DeskJet / LaserJet Printers with adequate number of cartridges and A4 size plain good quality papers. 7. Minimum 2Mbps Broadband/ Leased line with Proxy Server for Internet sharing on the entire 15 PCs. 8. Counseling Hall with required facilities for Minimum 20 candidates. All the Directors/Principals of the ARCs are hereby informed to make the above infrastructure ready and in working condition before the start of the receipt of the Online Application form and they are required to setup separate facilitation center for submission of online application form as per requirement for smooth conduct of the receipt of the online application and option form. The ARC Payments shall be done strictly by NEFT, hence the ARC officer should bring the Bank Details (Account Number, ISF Code and Name), preferably Xerox of Cheque Book, while coming for ARC Training The ARC shall assist the aspiring candidate in sale and submission of Online Application Form, arrange counseling etc. If any ARC found involved in any form of unlawful activities like misguidance & non co-operation to the aspiring candidates, ARC will be liable for severe action like non payment of honorarium dues and / or disqualified as ARC activities henceforth. This office shall appoint the observers through concerned regional offices for monitoring of the ARC activity in the region.
