Plans of Action Publicity of LCC events and activities 1. Print: The League o The official publication of the LCC will be published every semester. o Student councils may submit articles subject to the filtering and editing of the CMCSC. 2. Online: E-mail blasts and social media accounts o We shall take over the use of the Facebook and Twitter accounts to facilitate broader communication with the iskolar ng bayan. Coverage and documentation of events o For every event of the LCC, photographs and videos will be taken to be posted at the LCC Facebook page. A written report or press release will also be written for each event to be distributed to media and to be kept by the LCC Secretariat. Statements and press releases o Statements and press releases will be drafted and disseminated to the public and media through print and online mediums. Mass Media Awareness Month (MMAM) satellite exhibits o MMAM is an annual month-long, flagship event of the College of Mass Communication Student Council spearheaded by the Mass Media Awareness Committee (MMAC) that aims to promote the importance of media and its role in our society. A satellite exhibit with this years theme will be hosted in lobbies of the different colleges in the university. o Through the MMAC and in celebration of the MMAM, a series of forum will be held to discuss medias perspectives on different fields of study (Economics, Sciences, Arts, Sports, etc.) Tie-up with USC Mass Media Committee o The USC Mass Media Committee will hold different forums on mass media and its relation in society in September during the MMAM to show the direct link of every college to mass media, to know the stand of the colleges on mass media-related issues, and to urge different colleges to take action on these issues. DZUP: Kasali ka! o Because DZUP is the universitys very own radio arm, the LCC shall help in talking with the colleges respective administrations to install speakers and tune in to DZUP 1602 in their cafeteria and if possible, in their lobbies as well.
