COMMUNICATION
VHF Com Antenna Communication Antenna
Frequency 118-137 MHz Designed specifically for mounting to the underside of an aircraft providing excellent radiation coverage for air-toground communications. Bent configuration makes it ideally suited for helicopters and low wing aircraft. The CI 122 has been re-tested and upgraded to the new RTCA DO-160D environmental requirements and offers the 118 to 137 MHz frequency associated with DO-186A MOPS. This COM antenna is designed to be installed on the inside surface of the aft fuselage of composite and wood aircraft. It is a dipole that is folded up to minimize the vertical dimensions and requires 12 of fore and aft space and 26.5 vertically. It is designed with flexibility so it can match the internal curvature of the aft fuselage. The VSWR is less than 2:1 across the COM frequency band. Receives a call from an aircraft calling Unicom from 170 miles. 26.5" vertical X 9.5" horizontal. Lancairs, Glasairs, Kis, Express, Legend, Pulsar, etc.

Description Communication
Part # SA-006
The wing tip Com antenna does not perform as well as SA-002 Com antenna but users report good communications at ranges greater than 50 miles. The wing tips must have internal dimensions of at least 11 x 24 and generally fit better on the bottom surface. The VSWR is normally less than 2.0:1 over a frequency band of 108 to 127 MHz but could be higher due to installation factors. Must be installed on internal surface with the largest vertical dimension.
COM Antenna
SA-007 and SA-008 are essentially the same with the exception of the overall length and the matching devices with the COM antenna being installed vertically and the Nav antenna being installed horizontally. VSWR is less than 2:1 over their respective frequency bands. The outer ends of these antennas may be swept to +/- 30 to facilitate installation in various aircraft types.

meant to fit inside tail top fairing on metal aircraft Tail top Com antenna meant to fit inside tail top fairing on metal aircraft. Gives an Omni-directional radiation pattern by avoiding RF obstacles such as landing gear and vertical tails. Very good performance. All aircraft must have taller vertical tail caps. Tail cap antenna for metal (conductive) airplanes installed inside a tail top fiberglass fairing with inside dimensions of at least 10 high x 121. VSWR is normally less than 2.0:1 over a frequency band of 118 to 136 MHz.

Transponder Antenna V Dipole VOR/GS Antenna
Frequency 108-118 MHz (VOR/LOC) 329-335 MHz (Glide Slope) V Dipole VOR/Glide Slope Antenna with detachable elements mounts on top of the vertical fin stabilizer offering the fourhole mounting configuration found on many Beech aircraft. RF design similar to the CI 157P. Integral ferrite balun provides for higher radiation efficiency. Detachable element results in a significantly smaller shipping and storage carton than fixed element versions. Not approved for helicopter installations.
ANTENNAS
Transponder antenna with top loaded stub monopole. Antenna radiator is mechanically captivated and is machined from solid brass for impact resistance. Contact points are made from beryllium copper. Metallic parts are plated with bright nickel for corrosion protection. Mounts through a single 0.600" diameter-mounting hole.

Marker Beacon
Frequency 75 MHz Designed for use with modern, high sensitivity marker beacon receivers. Small and lightweight feature 4-hole internal mounting for simple installation. Antenna assembly is enclosed in an injection-molded radome, which is impervious to the tough environments typical of the underside of an aircraft. Skydrol and rain erosion resistant. DC grounded to minimize accumulation of precipitation static.
Part # CI102
Miniature high speed DME/transponder, one of the smallest DME/transponder antennas available from COMANT. Less than 2.75 inches high featuring a very low-drag frontal profile. Transponder Antenna
Designed to fit inside larger fiberglass wing tips on metal (conductive that is) airplanes such as T-18s, RVs, Bonanzas, etc.
This transponder/DME antenna is an etched copper clad epoxy circuit board dipole that is designed to be installed inside non-conductive aircraft without need for the additional installation of a ground plane. The dimensions are 6 x 7 x 1/ 16 thick and it can be installed in the aft fuselage or the wings with the 6 dimension vertical. VSWR usually less than 1.1:1. Would work well in a fiber glass ventral fin. Work well in any all glass or woodcraft.
Wing tip VOR antenna designed to fit inside larger fiberglass wing tips on metal (conductive that is) airplanes such as T-18s, RVs, Bonanzas, etc. Wing tip antennas have traditionally not worked well because of the proximity of the wing tip lights and wires, but these unique designs solve the problem. The wing tips must have internal dimensions of at least 11 x 24 and generally fit better on the bottom surface. The VSWR is normally less than 2.0:1 over a frequency band of 108 to 127 MHz but could be higher due to installation factors.

Description
Navigation
Part # SA-007
Wingtip VOR antennas are nearly the same for smaller tips but the 004 has a 10 flare to fit the Lancair IV wing tips. Also fits Glastars, Cessnas with 210 type droop tips. Wing tip VOR antenna of same general design as the SA-001 but of a narrower design to fit Mooney tips with internal dimensions of 8 x 24. VSWR less than 2.0:1 over the frequency band of 108 to 118 MHz.
Marker Beacon antenna. Consists of 4 copper tape (1/4 wavelength) and enough coax cable for most installations in fuselage area, plus hardware. Works fine in glass wing tips and fuselages or wing to fuselage gap seals. Works in practically all aircraft.
