Please be informed that a new software version 1.14 for the Thrane & Thrane BGANX platform SAILOR 500, SAILOR 250, Sailor 150, EXPLORER 727 & Explorer 325 has been released.
Priority:
MEDIUM: It is recommended to apply this change / initiative to all units in stock. For units sold it is recommended to apply this change / initiative next time the system(s) is inspected. Changes from ver. 1.13 to 1.14: New features and improvements related to SAILOR 500, SAILOR 250, SAILOR 150, EXPLORER 727 and EXPLORER 325: o EXPLORER 727 - Support of Class 1 operation for EXPLORER 727 when stationary. While moving Class 10 operation is still being supported. Note: To change terminal operation mode using the Thrane & Thrane IP handset requires a Thrane & Thrane IP handset that has been upgraded to SW rel. 1.12. SAILOR 500 / 250 / 150 Voice Distress (None-SOLAS) on SAILOR 500 / 250 / 150 established via Alarm Panel. This function is only available when installing a SAILOR 3771 Alarm Panel FleetBroadband Note: This function requires a Thrane & Thrane IP handset that has been upgraded to SW rel. 1.12 SAILOR 500 / 250 / EXPLORER 727 / 325 - Automatic VoIP Handset User ID and Password configuration. This is a feature which will automatically provide next free User Id and Password (0502 - 0516) when yet another IP Handset is attached the Terminal /Switch (first IP Handset is default set to 0501).

EXPLORER 727 / 325 - Support of new type of ATB SW for Explorer 727 / 325.Customer related BDU bug fixes related to SAILOR 500, SAILOR 250, SAILOR 150, EXPLORER 727 and EXPLORER 325: o o EXPLORER 727 / 325 - Entering Garage Mode will generate information in the Event Log. All - Problems with repeated (doubled) DTMF tones is corrected.
Known problems related to SAILOR 500, SAILOR 250, SAILOR 150, EXPLORER 727 and EXPLORER 325: o The FB Alarm Panel must be connected to the BDU by use of a LAN port, which is configured to be in router setup mode.

Action: Download file FB500_250_150 Exp325_727 ver_114.zip located at Thrane & Thrane extranet http://extranet.thrane.com/Support.aspx or at the Thrane & Thrane A/S eSupport Download Centre: http://extranet.thrane.com/Support/Technical%20Support.aspx and save / extract it to your hard disk. For End Users (from the SAILOR FB): D) Download the file from the Thrane & Thrane FleetBroadband update server via the SAILOR web server. Please note that if this is over air transmission, it will add cost to your airtime bill. File Size is approximately 8.0 MB!! From Web interface: 1. Make sure the Terminal is switched on and connect the Ethernet cable to your PC. 2. Open your web-browser and open the Web Interface of the Terminal at address http://192.168.0.1/ 3. Select SETTINGS.

5. Select Check for updates and when found, press download and store on the hard disk of the PC. The file is approx 8.0 MB. Airtime fee applies!
6. When downloaded to the hard disk of the PC, follow the description below for updating the SAILOR 500/250/150 or EXPLORER 727/325. 7. End of download procedure.

The following will describe the procedure for INSTALLING ver. 1.14 on SAILOR 500/250/150 and EXPLORER 727/325. 1. Make sure the Terminal is switched on and connect the Ethernet cable to your PC. 2. Open your web-browser and open the Web Interface of the Terminal at address http://192.168.0.1/ 3. Select SETTINGS.
4. Select Upload.

5. Select Browse and locate and select the SW file stored and extracted to bganx_bdu_al-17-bganx_bdu.dl with the Explorer.
6. Choose Upload and verify that the upload is in progress screenshot - below. 7. When the upload is done, the Terminal will reboot, select the address http://192.168.0.1/ again and verify the software version at DASHBOARD under PROPERTIES is listed as: 1.14 build 17
Pls. note that the terminal might start an antenna software upgrade after the reboot. Make sure that the upgrade has ended before disconnecting antenna or switching the system of. (All LED on terminal must be green and no warning in the event list) 8. End of update procedure.

Appendix I.
E727 support for Class 1 operation (Including BGAN X-Stream) in stationary mode
This function is to allow the 727 to act as a class 1 terminal when the terminal is stationary. (Car on the pause)

Appendix II.
CS Safety Voice on SAILOR terminals
The Voice Distress (Non-SOLAS) system is primarily used for Distress and Urgency calls using the FleetBroadband service. The SAILOR 3771 Alarm Panel is used together with a SAILOR 150, 250 or 500 FleetBroadband system and an IP handset which must be designated for Distress use. (IP Handset software version must be 1.12 or above)
For more information pls. see user and installation manual for the 3771 Alarm panel.
