This morning, we will commission our Youth Group WV Missions Team in our morning service, and hear Brian Hartwell publicly profess his faith in Christ. Offices Saturday Leave for WV Missions Trip @ 8 AM HCS parking lot ANNOUNCEMENTS Church Picnic @ Hager Park - Calling all picnic lovers. Save the date! Join your friends at Cedar for a picnic and fun at Hagar Park on July 14th, starting at 2 PM. A main dish will be provided and there will be a sign up sheet for side dishes. More details will be provided later. Contact Jennifer Coleman or Cathy Postmus with any questions. Fathers Day Gifts Would you like to give a special gift to a special Dad on Fathers Day? Cedar Church would like to provide you with free copies of Man in the Mirror by Patrick Morely and Point Man by Steve Ferrar. Pick one up on the literature cart. Pastor Chris Post will fill the Cedar pulpit the next two (2) Sundays at Cedar Church while Pastor Steve joins our youth on their WV Missions Trip. Electronics Recycling - Saturday, June 23, 9am-1pm at River City Flooring, 3307 Hudson Trails Dr, Hudsonville. Proceeds benefit Love INC. Feel free to bring all electronics, old TVs, printers, computers, and more.

COMMUNITY HAPPENINGS School Building Reminders The school building will soon be vacant for the summer. However, lets continue to be good stewards and thoughtful tenants of the building. Here are a few reminders: 1. Children should neither run nor wander through the school building after services. We have a wonderful playground where that can be enjoyed. 2. Please respect all school property stored in the hallway and in classrooms. When in doubt, ask yourself Would a HCS school teacher allow a student to do this during a normal school day? Love INC Donations Needed - Baby shampoo, baby powder, regular shampoo (small containers are fine), and new combs & brushes are needed for the Foster Care Kit program through Love INC. Also needed are clear zippered blanket bags. Also Needed Bed frames of all sizes. We are experiencing a shortage of bed frames to fill the needs of people requesting beds from Love INC. Many times people requesting beds are sleeping either on the floor with no mattress at all, or are sleeping with only a mattress on the floor. Please, if you have a bed frame you are not using, and are willing to help those in need it would really be appreciated! Please drop off donations at Love INC, 3300 Van Buren St, Hudsonville. Tax receipts are always provided for the donations. Thanks. Curious Kids - Looking for a way to entertain your children this summer? We are excited to announce this faith-based Summer Enrichment Program for children 4 years old through entering 3rd grade. The program consists of 8 different classes to choose from Ooey Gooey Science, Island Getaway, Livin' Out Literature, Messy Art, and many more. Each class is held Monday-Friday from 9-12, beginning June 18, ending August 17, 2012. Pick and choose which classes you would like to attend. Ongoing Ministry for Depression - The Depression Support Group meets on the third Monday of each month from 7-8 PM in the educational wing at Fairway Christian Reformed Church, 1165 44th Street, Jenison. This group is open to anyone in our community who struggles with depression or has a loved one who is depressed. You are invited to attend this safe and confidential group experience. No registration is necessary. The group will meet on Monday, June 18. For more information contact the church office at 662-0368. Back-to-School Ministries - We still have 47 children that need to be adopted into our Love INC Back-to-School Ministries. Are you or your church able to help these needy children get a good start into school with clothing and school supplies. Please contact Karla at 6623300 ext. 130 for further information. Loves Treasures needs your help - Volunteers needed in the following areas: Prep room: Tuesday and Friday afternoons. Display areas: Monday mornings, Monday and Thursday afternoons. To volunteer, call or stop in at Love INC ask for Tonia 662-3300 ext. 122. Training always provided! Zion Christian School Update -Thank you to the families who have enrolled their children at ZCS for the 2012-2013 school year. In case you haven't heard, due to growing enrollment, we will offer two sections of kindergarten this fall. Additionally, we recently broke ground on our new two classroom building expansion. If you are interested in enrolling your child at ZCS, please call the school office at (616) 878-9472. Zion Christian School Annual Auction, Saturday October 27 Save The Date! This years theme is Building On The Rock from Psalm 127 - Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. Mark your calendars for a fun, festive evening as we celebrate the blessings of God to us and our children. New this year: Online auction via Miedema Auctioneering will take place in September. If you need any assistance, please ask one of our greeters for help. SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE Cedar Church strives to enjoy God through Spirit-empowered and Christ-centered worship. The Bible is sincerely loved, and we hope that you will find it opened up to you in a fresh and faithful manner each Sunday. A NURSERY is available near the entrance of the gymnasium, but children are always welcome in the worship service. COFFEE BREAK After the morning worship, please join us in the foyer for coffee and refreshments. KIDS BREAK After morning worship, all kids (pre-school thru 6th grade) are invited to remain in the gymnasium for snacks and fun songs with Mr. & Mrs. Himebook. SUNDAY SCHOOL - From 11 AM-12 PM, Cedar Church offers classes for all ages. Visitors are especially welcome to join us!
