VISITORS
We consider it a great privilege to worship the Lord Jesus Christ with you today. In fact, we receive
your presence as a gracious gift from God. In return, we would love to bless you according to your
needs. Please let us know how we can do so.
PRAYER
If you would like personal prayer this morning, please make your way to the hallway during
communion. One of our intercessors would love to pray with you.
...in our hearts, our homes, our church and our world.
HOLY EUCHARIST
As you enter the church, please keep silence as we prepare our hearts for worship.
Songs of Praise
(Chorus)
Better is one day in Your courts
Better is one day in Your house
Better is one day in Your courts
Than thousands elsewhere
(Bridge)
My heart and flesh cry out for You
The living God
Your Spirit's water to my soul
I've tasted and I've seen
Come once again to me
I will draw near to You
I will draw near to You to You

O Come Let Us Adore Him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
O come let us adore him
Christ the Lord
O God, who wonderfully created, and yet more wonderfully restored, the dignity of human nature:
Grant that we may share the divine life of him who humbled himself to share our humanity, your
Son Jesus Christ; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever
and ever. Amen.
3
Psalm 84:1-8
The psalm will be read as prompted by the Lector.
1
How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord of hosts! *
2
My soul longs, indeed it faints for the courts of the Lord;
my heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God.
3
Even the sparrow finds a home, and the swallow
a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, *
at your altars, O Lord of hosts, my King and my God.
4
Happy are those who live in your house, *
ever singing your praise.
5
Happy are those whose strength is in you, *
in whose heart are the highways to Zion.
6
As they go through the valley of Baca they make it a place of springs; *
the early rain also covers it with pools.
7
They go from strength to strength; *
the God of gods will be seen in Zion.
8
O Lord God of hosts, hear my prayer; *
give ear, O God of Jacob!

ANNOUNCEMENTS
Get into S.H.A.P.E. in 2009
Why am I here? What is my unique purpose? Does God have a specific plan for my life? If you have
ever asked these questions (or even if you are asking them for the first time today), then please join
your Good Shepherd family in spending the first part of the new year discovering your God-given
S.H.A.P.E. It is an amazing fact that God wants to use your unique combination of Spiritual Gifts,
Heart, Abilities, Passions, and Experiences for his divine purposes. Don't wait any longer; this is the
year to embrace the good works, which He has prepared beforehand to be your way of life. This
church-wide experience will take place within the context of our discipleship groups, so please make
plans now to stay or to get connected.
January's Mission Focus: Fatherless Children
We have set aside the month of January to discover God's heart for the fatherless. To do so, we will
take advantage of our two Sunday morning learning environments -- the Sermon, in which we will
explore Holy Scripture, and the Pastor's Forum, in which we will study C. Thomas Davis' Fields of the
Fatherless. Please prioritize this subject by prioritizing these times.
AMiA's Annual Winter Conference
What an opportunity to gather with our brothers and sisters within the Anglican Mission for worship,
fellowship, encouragement, and exhortation. This year's conference is in Greensboro, North Carolina
from January 28-31, and its theme is "Grow Out on a Limb: The John 15 Challenge". Please grab a
flier at the welcome table and register today.
For a complete list of current announcements, please visit our website at www.tcotgs.org.
