the time of McCarthyism, the whole play is pretty much a metaphor for it. In the Crucible, people claim that there are witches that are possessed by the Devil. In McCarthyism, randomly people who were of the wealthy or well known society were accused of being communists. If you dont get along with someone all you have to do is lie and say they were communists, as in The Crucible you would blame someone of being a witch if they did not please you or if you wanted to save your own life. The play was designed to show just how ridiculous it really was McCarthyism. By the end of the play the people begin to realize that things had gotten too far. In similarity to McCarthyism, his "witch hunt" ended because people lost faith in what he was doing. The difference between them is that none of the people in the Crucible were witches. While some of the people in the McCarthy era were actual communists. Example (Alger Hiss and the Rosenbergs were communist spies.)

There are too many places that people can visit while they are at the Witch city. A person can go from visiting The Witch House to visiting The Old Burying Point. The Witch House is a historical place to visit. This house was the home of a witch trial judge ,Jonathan Corwin. Besides the time the house keeps its authenticity and originality , so if you want to visit one very old house but most important a house of one of the judges that participated at the Salem witch trials come and visit this ghostly house but if you want a little more terrifying experience visit The Old Burying Point. The Old Burying point is a very old cemetery which contains bodies of many Puritans. These bodies date from the late 1600s ,so be careful and dont wake any death person. You can also visit The Salem Witch Museum .Inside the museum there are a lot of things to do such as assist to a reenactment of the witch trials but not only that, people also receive an informational show as well . These are only some things about the museum. The museum is loaded with other incredible activities as well. One event of the year that you cannot miss is the Halloween Celebration at Salem. It is an incomparable experience. There is something for every one; special events, tours, haunted houses, parties ,childrens events and Halloween balls.
