Pick a Card, Any Card

Instead of a Prize Box this year, I am going to use a coupon system!!

You could set this up a couple of ways. some examples are:

*Each student can have a token jar and when they earn 20* tokens they can choose a card * If a student makes it to the top of your clip chart students can earn a card *If you catch a student going above and beyond, they can pick a card! *If you use a punch card system, when students get all the punches they can pick a card

On the following cards are rewards that students can enjoy at school. The rewards range from students taking off their shoes to being the person who passes out the supplies for the day.

I am going to laminate the cards and put them inside of a picture case (that I bought at Hobby Lobby) and when a student earns a card, they will get to take a chance and pick a card, ANY card! You could of course let the student pick their prize, too.

Descriptions of rewards
Sit where you want -- the student will get to choose where they sit that day! sit at the teachers desk-- the student will be able to sit at the teachers desk to work! shoes off-- the student can take their shoes off for the entire day! line leader for the day-- this student will be the line leader for the day first on the computer-- the student will get to go on the computer first eat in the classroom-- the student can pick a friend and eat in the classroom for lunch! write in marker for the day-- all day this student can write in marker no homework show and tell-- this student can bring in something for show and tell first pick-- this student will get to pick their center or Daily 5 choice first book selector-- this student gets to pick the read aloud book! 10 minutes of free time-- this student gets to have 10 minutes of free time!

teachers helper-- this student will help the teacher today. They can pass out papers, deliver notes, etc.! get a new pencil read with the teacher, friend or stuffed animal-- during Daily 5, this student can read with whoever the card says! DJ- you get to pick the music!-- this student gets to pick the working music for the day! calendar leader-- this student will be able to lead calendar time! first at listen to reading- this student will be able to go to listen to reading first Supply collector-- this student will be in charge of the supplies today surprise!-- you get to pick the reward!!
