I. Lustratio Magi –

A. Let the Magician Bathe as his W i l l dictates (E.g., “Asperges me , O Do m i ne , hyssopo, et


mun dabo r: lavabis me , et super nivem dealbabor.” [Thou shalt purge me with hyssop,
O Lord, and I shall be clean; Thou shalt wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.])

B. Let the Magician A noi n t himself with the H o ly Oil as his W i ll dictates (E.g., “In the
name of Nu i t and Hadi t and Ra-H o o r- K hu i t, I gird myself with the vestmen ts of trut h
that I may do battle according to the principles of the Book of the Law.”)

C. Let the Magician Do n his vestments as his W i ll dictates (E.g., “B y the figurative

III. Opus Lucernae –

A. Let the Magician Light the candles of his Altar

B. Let the Magician Ring the Battery eleven times (3-5-3)

C. Let the Magician State his Intent (“Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the Law. In
the name of Nu i t, Hadi t, and Ra-H o o r- Kh ui t, I proclai m that it is the W i ll of I, Frater
…, to duly bless and consecrate this H o ly Lam p of Art, so that it may illu m i ne my H o l y
Altar and the work perfor me d thereon, so it may serve as a remi n der of that Light of
Lights of whic h no man may trut h f u l ly speak since it exists beyond the scope of words
to rightly describe, and so that upon gazing upon it I may be remin ded of the Light of
the K habs ind welli ng. It is my W i l l to accurately perfor m these actions so that I may use

D. Let the Magician Ring the Battery eleven times.

E. Let the Magician Sprink le the Salt of the Earth into his vessel of H o ly Wa ter, blessing
each as his W i ll dictates (E.g.,“Let the salt of Earth admo n ish the water to bear the
virtue of the Great Sea. [Genuflects.] M o t he r, be thou adored. ”)

F. Let the Magician W ash the Lamp by sprink li ng it with H o ly W a ter delivered by
dippi ng a sachet of H yssop or a Rose or a Lily into the H o ly Wa ter. Also let him make
three equal armed crosses at the base, middle and top of the Lamp with these words:
“For pure will, unassuaged of purpose, delivered fro m the lust of result, is every way
perfect. ”(CC X X I,44) Let him then dry the Lam p with a clean cloth.

G. Let the Magician place Franki ncense unto the Th u r i b le, blessing each as his W i l l
dictates (E.g., “Let the Fire and the Air make sweet the world! [Genuflects.] Father, be
thou adored. ”)

H. Let the Magician Invigorate the Lamp by Censing it with three equal armed crosses at
the base, middle and top with these words: “I am uplifted in thine heart; and the kisses
of the stars rain hard upon thy body. ”(CC X X II,62)

I. Let the Magician Consecrate his Lamp by applying the H o ly Oil to it.

a. First, let him approach the H o ly Oil with the Ma n t ra of our Aeon: “A ka dua/
Tuf ur biu/Bi a'a chefu/ D u d u nur af an nuteru”

b. Then, let him An oi n t his Lam p with the H o ly Oil saying the follo wi ng: “I O I O
I O IA O SAB A O / K U R I E AB R A S A X K U R I E M E I T H R A S K U R I E

c. Finally, let him Swaddle the H o ly Lam p in fine white cloth and place it to the
side.

J. Let the Magician Consecrate the candle whic h shall burn withi n the H o ly Lamp.

a. First, by Add ressing the candle with these words: “Mystery of epiphany, who
shines fort h and removes the illusion of dark ness, whose light is shed upon the
world so that its illu m i na ted for ms may guide us back to that ineffable source;
may your light both reveal and coax the perfect and hidden life withi n us to
manifestatio n. A U M G N . ”

b. Then by A noi n t i n g the candle with the H o ly Oil saying: “Accendat In Nob is
T H E R I O N Ignem Sui A m o r is et Flam ma m Æter nae Caritatis. ” (Inflame in us
Therion the fire of your love and the flame of eternal devotion.)

c. Next by Lighti ng the anointed candle and saying: “Thus aflame I am the mo t h
to your lantern and am burned utterly in your Tr u t h !”

K. Let the Magician U n veil the H o ly Lam p fro m its incunabula.

L. Let the Magician Enligh ten the Lamp with the Sacred Flame and say: “O M N I A I N
