New CAS features: Body hair (Only available for males ages YA and over). and catalog expansion pack and individual age sliders. Walking Canes for elders.

New traits:

Rebellious: Sims with a rebellious streak can make trouble pulling off various pranks, like doorbell ditching, adding hair dye to their sibling's shampoo, making the toilet explode and etc.

Nurturing: Sims with the nurturing trait will be great at taking care of kids and can punish naughty Sims by giving them timeouts, banning video games, and grounding them.

New Lifetime Rewards: New rewards can be purchased with lifetime achievement points such as:

Clean Slate: enables the Sim to completely erase their reputation and start over (note that this resets all information about their current relationship bringing the days involved with a partner to zero).

Hover Bed: a floating double bed for the Sim which gives them an additional +10 moodlet. Above Reproach: A reward which means that PDAs are not given as much attention by other sims in public. Inheritance: A reward which gives the Sim a once off sum of money from a long lost relative, which the Sim has no relationship of and his/her demise coincides with the bought wish.

Super Nanny: A reward which is a benefit for those pursuing the new Day Care profession. Young Again: A reward which gives the player a Young Again Potion (can also be made at the Chemistry station). Motive Mobile: A 50's style van which a Sim can mark as their preferred vehicle and which fills up all of their motives in one trip. Clone Voucher: A coupon that is worth one genetic duplicate of the Sim who cashes it in but the new Sim is created as a child.

Age Freeze: A reward which gives the player's Sim a potion that cannot be made from the Chemistry station that freezes the Sim's biological clock and prevents further aging unless using the Birthday Cake.

New parties: School Dances, Prom Night for teens, high school graduation, teen house parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties (with the return of entertainers), new wedding ceremonies, and slumber parties.

Field trips for children and teens. (A dialog box appears asking for parental permission.) New Profession: Daycare New creature: Imaginary Friend Boarding School: Sims can send their children and teens to any of 5 specialist boarding schools such as military school, sports academy, art school, hippie school or a posh prep, at each one the sim will learn new skills. The Boarding Schools aren't free.

WooHoo in new places: the shower and tree house New memory system: Return of memories tracked in a scrapbook (and online) and a feature to make memories. Along with general milestone memories, Sims can record their betrayals. Sims with a reputation of any kind can also view their reputation on these pages.

New Rabbit Hole: Tree House Dating returns to the game. Teen Sims can now be taught to drive by their parents in any vehicle in the household. New Afterschool Activities: Children can either attend ballet classes or join the Boy/Girl Scouts. Teenagers can join up to two High School clubs including the sports team, drama club, debate team, school band, student newspaper, and more.

Adults can experience a mid-life crisis. Mysterious Mr. Gnome can age and have a "gnome family".[5] The different life stages are: Toddler, Children, Teenager, Adult and Elder. Each one is Mysterious in different ways.

Chemistry: Sims can make potions, the more logic skill the Sim has, the more kinds of potion the Sim can make.

Cloning: Young adult, Adult, and Elder Sims can buy a cloning coupon, this coupon is redeemed at the science facility and when is redeemed the Sim will get a cloned child. This child is identical to the parent.

Costume chest: Children can dress up in different costumes. Strollers are available for babies and toddlers. Children can sleep on bunk beds

In The Sims 3: Generations for the PC, like previous versions there are cheats that you can enter for various effects. On the keyboard, hold Ctrl + Shift and hit the C button to bring up the command prompt. Testing Cheats Mode

With testingcheatsenabled set to true (listed above), there several extra cheats you can enter in the command prompt, and a lot of additional actions you can take from the click menus on various objects, sims, and in the interface.

Interface Options:
With testingcheatsenabled set to true (listed above), you can hold the Ctrl key then click and drag any selected Sims need bars, relationship bars, etc. Hold Ctrl and click on moodlets to remove them, which can be helpful for removing negative moodlets. You can also hold Ctrl on the Select Family screen to modify the lifetime happiness box.

Active Sim

In The Sims 3: Generations for the PC, typically you cant edit any Sims once youve saved their settings and added them to the game to play. There are some cheats however that make this possible, even allowing you to edit Sims that arent in your household. To edit a Sim in your current household, hold Ctrl + Shift and hit the C button to bring up the command prompt. Type in moviemakercheatsenabled true and hit Enter. Now hold Shift and left click on any Sim in your household. You should now see the option to Edit in CAS, which will bring up that Sim in the Create-A-Sim editor. To edit a Sim that isnt in your household, you can just select that household and edit them the way I specified above, or you can add them to your household and then edit them, after which you can move them back to the other household. Hold Ctrl + Shift and hit the C button to bring up the command prompt and type in testingcheatsenabled true and hit Enter. With this option enabled you can hold the Shift key and left click on any Sim to add them to your current household. Once theyre in your household, use the method listed above to edit them. The Criminal track has the most pay per week, with the Master Thief bringing home $2,260 a day working 4 days a week, in 4 hour shifts.

Alternatively, the Astronaut in the Military career track makes more per hour and only has to work one 6 hour shift a week, bringing home $6,012 a week. The Sims 3 Generations Cheat: moviemakercheatsenabled true

We already know we can edit a live Sim (in CAS) with testingcheatsenabled true. If you enable testingcheats andmoviemakercheatsenabled true (the only cheat introduced in the Sims 3 Generations) theres a host of 3 new options to the shift + left click menu we all use too much:

moviemakerCheats enabled [true|false]: Toggles Movie Maker Mode, which enables new cheats for players that aid in movie making. To access Movie Maker Mode, [testingcheatsenabled true] must be set. It allows NPCS to be selectable by using SHIFT+RIGHT CLICK on the Sim. Additionally, the following cheat interactions are enabled when you SHIFT+LEFT CLICK on a Sim: Animation: Plays a specific animation on a Sim Disable All Lookouts: Toggles all Look Ats for all Sims. Edit in CAS: Brings the clicked Sim into Create a Sim, where they can be fully edited. Sim Shutdown: Prevents all Sims for doing anything other than player initiated interactions. Set Looping On/One-Off: Sets animations to be looped or to one-off. Shift, right click option (use for NPC Sim) : using this combo you will select the target NPG Sim and change the active household to NPGs ones. It seems there is no way to undo (only by doing this again on another NPG).

Movie Maker Cheat

A new cheat is added to The Sims 3 with this expansion, allowing easy machinima (movie creation) for people: As with previous versions, press CTRL+SHIFT+C to bring up the command prompt. Activate ' debug mode', using testingcheatsenabled true. Then, type moviemakercheats enabled true. When shift+left clicking Sims, you can now do the following: Animation: Pick an animation to play Disable All Lookouts: Toggles Look Ats for all Sims I.e. Where they are focusing Edit in CAS: Lets you edit the Sim in Create-A-Sim mode. Sim Shutdown: Stops the Sim doing anything except things you have instructed. Set Looping On/One-Off: Allows you to loop the animation. If you SHIFT+Right click on a NPC Sim to select them, you can now use the options above as well as changing the active household to their one!

How to promote yourself faster in a job profession: --------------------------------------------------Type in 'testingcheatsenabled true' on the main menu screen once your game starts up. When you are playing in your town and you select a Job Profession, you can easily get yourself promoted by clicking and dragging your Job Profession Experience Bar found under your Career tab. A message will pop up saying that you Sim has been promoted to the next level. Family Funds: ------------Submitted by: LDC Press Control/Shift and c together to get the prompt at the top of the screen. Enter 'testingcheatsenabled true". Once this is done AND you have a person/family that you want to work with, type in familyfunds (enter the family last name here) and then enter the (amount of money you want) then press enter. Example "familyfunds Smith 1234567" then press "enter". Full profession level

Enable the testingcheatsenabled true code. If your Sim does not have a profession yet, choose one. Once it does, go to the "Work" tab in the dashboard. You will see a bar for your job progress. Drag the bar all the way to the end. Each time you do, you will advance one level in that profession requiring less than 30 seconds to reach level 10. During events, one will mention where your Sim lands in the middle of crowd who does not notice you because they are "...cheering for some kind of shepherd who defeated some giant god machine."
