Dear Prof. Tabinga, Greetings! The National Association for Social Work Education, Inc. (NASWEI) South Luzon Cluster will have a conference on March 2 3, 2012 at Carolina Hotel and Restaurant, Tabaco City. The theme for this activity is Today's Glimpse of the Future: A Conference on the Prospects in Social Work . This will be a gathering of the future of social work: the faculty and students of social work in Regions IV, IV A, and V discussing about the emerging trends in social work. A seminar will be facilitated which aims to provide a venue for sharing about international social welfare and disaster risk reduction and management experiences of Asian countries as emerging concerns of social work and the updates on Social Work organizations and efforts in the Philippines. At the same time, the Junior Social Work Association of the Philippines (JSWAP) South Luzon Cluster, which is the student counterpart of the NASWEI, will also be gathering for their socialization, Pasiklaban (Literary, Musical and Dance Competitions and Laro ng Lahi) and business meeting. A registration fee of one thousand pesos (Php 1 000.00) for each faculty participant and eight hundred pesos (Php 800.00) for each student participant shall be charged to cover the venue, accommodation, meals (4 snacks, 1 breakfast, 2 luncheon meals and 1 dinner), certificates and other incidental expenses relative to the activity. The program and guidelines for this conference will follow. In view of this, the social work educators and students in your school are invited to participate in this conference.
