ST. FRANCIS XAVIER BAPTISTRY Don Campbell and Jane McDonald, having purchased the Ritza house became aware that the garden ornament in the yard was apparently the baptistry from the old St. Francis Xavier Church. They were anxious for us to have it back. Through the efforts of Richard Russell and his assistants, it has, with considerable difficulty, been returned here. Campbell Monuments will attempt to restore it with the intention of placing it in the main entrance as a reservoir for holy water. Our thanks to Don and Jane for their sensitivity and generosity.
BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE he Benefactors of St. Francis Xavier Parish have provided for many of the needs of our church and its liturgies. The legacy of the donors has provided us with the surroundings to which we have become accustomed. In recognition of their generosity, a Book of Remembrance has been held to both remember and honour their donations. This weekend we celebrate the anniversary of the blessing of the current church building on June 23 rd , 1968. A fitting weekend for us to have installed an appropriate station to provide our Book of Remembrance of all who have made special donations to our church over the years. As we ponder their generosity let us keep them in prayerful gratitude.
