We are very pleased with the mix of this first season, says Dan Mayer, editorial director of Seventh Street Books and a former book buyer for three national bookstore chains. It includes both well-known names and emerging talents, representing the genres rich history and its promising future. Theres a range of diversity in only nine books, with everything from classic mysteries to social issue/crime fiction hybrids, and even a clever book within a book [Hammett Unwritten]. I couldnt be more proud and am anxious to get them into readers hands.
