A Skills Inventory is a list of skills that you know that you possess. You provide evidence of these skills in your Portfolio Identifying your skills is part of the process of readying yourself for the job market. A Skills Inventory is a required part of your Portfolio
S KILLS I NVENTORY
You will need to identify three different types of skills:
Mechanical experience Electrical system knowledge Knowledge of small engines Knowledge of hand and power tools The ability to identify, locate, and order parts Use of tire-changing and alignment equipment Use of electronic scan tools
T RANSFERABLE S KILLS
Skills that are important regardless of what kind of job you are doing. For example:
Ability to manage money Organized worker Good problem solver Effective time manager Excellent communicator A licensed driver, Class __ First Aid and CPR OH&S and WHMIS Computer Skills
P ERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
