What is Shirk?
Muslims must be careful to stay away from shirk.
It is the one thing that Allah will not forgive us for.

What is Shirk?

In a dictionary, “Shirk” means to give partners to something.

In Islam, it can mean to:

• Worship others along with Allah,

• To give created beings and things Allah’s names and attributes,
• To believe that others share Allah’s control and rule over the creation

“Surely Allah will not forgive

the association of partners (shirk) with Him,
but He forgives (sins) less than that
of whomever He wishes. (An-Nisaa: 48)
