SLIIT
The Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology (SLIIT) is the largest degree awarding Institute approved by the University Grants Commission under the Universities Act. The Programme
This is a three year degree programme. The first two years of this programme entitle students to obtain the Diploma in Electronic Engineering (SLIIT) and BTEC Higher National Diploma in Electronic Engineering (Edexcel International, UK). Students completing the Diploma will have the opportunity to complete the final year of BEng (Hons) in Electronic Engineering of the Sheffield Hallam University (Subject to validation by SHU) either at SHU in UK or at SLIIT in Sri Lanka. This degree programme in Electrical and Electronic Engineering offers a series of subjects, suitable for electrical and electronic engineers who can work in many industries and organizations that use modern electronic technology. Students will learn the scientific principles of electrical and electronic engineering and how to apply them in designing, creating, testing and improving electronic systems and products, to meet market needs.

BEng (Hons) Degree in Electronic Engineering

Duration The first two years of the programme will lead to the Diploma in Electronic Engineering (SLIIT) and Higher National Diploma (Edexcel International, UK) and a further one year of study will lead towards the BEng (Hons) degree in Electronic Engineering offered by Sheffield Hallam University, UK. Location This programme will be conducted at SLIIT, Malabe Campus, New Kandy Road, Malabe. Course Fee Rs. 70,000/- +12% (VAT) per semester and for the third year an additional fee of 800 will have to be paid to complete the degree in Sri Lanka.

Course Entry Requirements Three Passes at the G.C.E. (A/L) (Local / London) in Maths /Physical Science stream in one and the same sitting and A pass at the Aptitude Test conducted by SLIIT.
