The purpose of this test on completion method statement is to ensure that Disable Toilet Alarm is functioning within the applicable standards and Manufacturers tolerances. Scope activities that are required for the testing of Disable Toilet Alarm system at BARWA Commercial Avenue project - Building T04.

Testing Procedure:

5.1 Functional Test

5.1.1

Pull the cord of the ceiling pull unit (NC807C) to raise an alarm. sounder sounds to confirm to the user that an alarm has been made.

5.1.2 The ceiling pulls red reassurance LED illuminates and the Cancel Push Button 5.1.3 Outside the toilet, the over door light c/w sounder (NC806CS) activates to

visually and audibly guide people to the area where assistance is required. 5.1.4 The Single Zone Call Controller (NC942B) LED illuminates and its sounder activates. 5.1.5 Alarm calls can be cancelled inside the toilet at any time by pressing the cancel push button (NC809DBB).

6.1 The Site Engineer shall be responsible for implementing this test on completion

method statement, for the observance of all safety precautions and for supervising the testing and commissioning activities. 6.2 The Testing Technician will be responsible for carrying out the tests, recording the test values etc.
6.3 The Q.C department shall be responsible for reviews of test records to ensure that all

tests have been performed in accordance with the approved inspection and test plan, Project specification, Kahramaa and QCS2007.

7.

Testing Equipment Control:

7.1 The Site Engineer will keep a record of the test equipment details including copy of a

valid calibration certificate. The Site Engineer shall ensure that test equipment that is out of calibration is isolated in a quarantine zone and will be sent as soon as possible to a certified metrology laboratory for re-calibration against national standards.
7.2 The Testing Technician shall ensure that the testing equipments are functioning properly

before starting any test and that the test certificates are available for inspection. Any defective test equipment will be isolated in a quarantine zone and sent for repairs at the earliest possible.
7.3 The Q.C department shall ensure that all testing equipments are calibrated and

recalibrated in due time.

8.1 The QC Engineer shall prepare the testing plan that includes the equipment to be

tested, the tests to be performed, the testing equipments to be used, the test procedures to be applied and the test sheets to be used. Based on the testing plan, in coordination with the Project Manager, a testing schedule will be developed.
8.2 The Site Engineer shall organize, supervise and verify the implementation of the

testing schedule. Any defect or variation from the approved specifications and standards shall be noted during testing and recorded through Inspection Report.
8.3 The Testing Technician shall record all test results and complete the commissioning

checklists, which serve as an official document of the completion of the inspection and testing.

9.3 Competency and Training: All personnel shall be competently trained to carry out the testing that they are undertaking. All operatives will receive a site induction into method statements, safety, quality and environment briefing prior to commence the testing. This will be done by Toolbox Talks (TBT).

10.1 The Safety of all Personnel and equipment is our highest priority during the execution

of the Testing and Commissioning.


10.2 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

All Project Personnel, subcontractors and visitors will be required to wear PPE, including at least the following: Safety boots (with steel toecaps and insoles) Safety helmets Eye protection Compulsory PPE for labour in addition to the above: Cover all as protective clothing Gloves High visibility vest, if working near the construction traffic. Ear defenders, if working near to the construction area. 10.3 Toolbox Talks (TBT): Site Engineer will give toolbox talks. All attendees will sign to say they have been briefed and understand all recommendations set out by Tool box talk. 10.4 Housekeeping: Housekeeping of testing sites will be done in accordance with the Project Safety Manual. 10.5 Signage: All necessary safety warning signs and notice boards will be displayed at the location of testing. 11.
