CLOUDS FORM
ater vapor is an invisible gas. When air containing water vapor is heated it expands and rises. It cools at a rate of one degree (1) Celsius per 100 meters as it rises. As condenses into water (H2O) droplets or ice particles ranging from as little as 0.004 mm to as much as 0.1 mm in diameter when the droplets and ice particles accumulate, clouds are formed.
RAI FALL
refracted least, is at the top; and the violet, refracted most, is at the bottom. A rainbow appears when sunlight is refracted this way by millions of tiny drops of rain.
EARTH FORMED
n misty rain the drop are about 0.1 to 0.2 mm in diameter, while ordinary raindrops are about 1.0 mm. In a heavy rain, drops may measure 5 to 6 mm. An estimated one million water droplets in a cloud form just one raindrop. In light clouds the drops seldom become heavy enough to fall to the ground.
RAI BOWS FORM
he sun was born some 5 billion years ago, and the formation of the solar system was begun about the same time. The theory that is given here is the most generally held but still has not been proved conclusively. Decomposition of the radioactive substances at the Earths core generated extreme heat and volcanic activity that thrust them up to the surface. They then cooled and hardened to form the earths crust. he fact that the earth is a sphere is not hard to accept intellectually but is difficult to judge by daily experience due mainly to our size relative to that of the earth. However, situations that those described here help us verify the fact with our own eyes, as does a lunar eclipse when the earth casts a curved shadow on the moon. Despite the widely held flat-earth theory, ancient Greeks were aware that the earth was round and even calculated its circumference.

unlight appears to be white but actually is a mixture of colors. If sunlight passes through a prism it separates into seven colors. The prism refracts, or bends, light at an angle varies with each color. Thus the red,
