ACTS Discography

ACTS are an English Rock Band from Delhi in India, formed in 2005 by Guitarist, Vocalist and primary songwriter Swapnil Wilson. Since their inception, the band has composed well over 40 songs and adding on to that number as we speak. The band originally came up with the name Free Fall suggested by their first drummer John PJ and under that banner they performed many shows in places like Taj Delhi, District Center (Janak Puri) amphitheater and was recognized by RSJ on their 1st single Fear as one of the best 15 bands in India. At that time band had 4 members Sudhir David Tikaram (Lead Guitarist), Andrew Darwin (Bass Guitarist and Song Writer), Swapnil Wilson (Vocalist, Guitarist and Song Writer) and John PJ the (Drummer), however they were not together for a long time Sudhir David Tikaram migrated to Canada with his family, John PJ Migrated to Dubai due to his Job and finally Swapnil Wilson and Andrew Darwin were left with old memories and with a fresh start which could not sustain Andrew Darwin as well for a long time as he lost his hope that the band will do anything in this competitive world but Swapnil Wilson had faith and he was ready to act on his faith to take this dream and share it with others around the world. This bought the band into a silent phase for almost 2 years but it was passion and dream which could not hold Swapnil Wilson separated with music for long and he decided to continue his journey with a new start and started playing music with random friends and assisted many foreign artists to record their own album and performed with them. Finally the wait was over once Robinson Lakra who used to be Swapnil Wilsons neighbour who came back from Paris after finishing his schooling and met with Swapnil Wilson and shared the same passion for music, and that was the new beginning for the Band and they came up with a new name ACTS as they strongly believe and experienced that its just acts which makes you fulfill your dreams and makes you different from others. ACTS is now in the business again and they are doing what they do the best, the struggling phase is still their friend but the will and the support of their friends has been motivating them do keep playing music and keep sharing the same with more and many around the world. Band has recently performed in April 2012 in a Biker Gathering and has composed a theme song for Retro Motorcycling (Brand for Riding Gears and Accessories) name Old School Rider. Band has always been composing songs based on life experiences and their vision is very clear that their Acts should matter to people those who are associated with them in any means.
