Review of contribution to team Review: Danny: Danny was a great contribution to the team, he helped score and officiate the basketball game, which was very helpful, and he was excellent. Jack: Jack was helpful he helped score and assist the game as an assistant referee, he could of improved on spotting out fouls etc. Liam, Jamie & Jack: When I went to check on Liam, Jamie and jack they were all doing their jobs excellently, all the children knew what they were doing not to mention having fun. It all went according to plan and they were all a good contribution to the team. All these people didnt turn up, so I had to change my plan due to lack of numbers.

My self (Reuben)

I thought everything went according to plan, I recon I coached basketball successfully, appropriately and fairly. Everything I planned went well. The one problem was that I had low leader numbers to I had to reduce to only 2 sports, which I handled very well. Overall I enjoyed my self and I can clearly see that the pupils did too; it was a successful sports week. Not to mention Alfie Banks was ill so I had to take on his responsibilities along with my responsibilities, I adapted well to that and it also increased my confidence which Im very proud of.

Evaluation of Diploma Competition

Organisers: Reuben & Alfie Venue: Sports Hall and Outdoor Ball Court Pre event organisation:
Firstly, I will discuss with my assistant coaches what jobs I want them to carry out, where they are going to be located and the layout of each event. Once that is discussed I will then ask them to do their jobs and help set up each event for example winding down basketball hoops, getting equipment (balls and bibs) and many more tasks. I had to change my plan slightly as Alfie my other head coach wasnt here and my other assistant coaches didnt turn up so I ended up short of coaches. So I had to reduce the time of each event to 30 minutes each as I only had time for 1 lesson as some other people were late.

Sport: Basketball and Football Numbers: 53 Pupils

During event management:

I had a strong relation with my assistant coaches during the event. I assigned them various jobs and they all accomplished them appropriately. Me, Jack and Danny arrange the children in to similar ability groups to make the game fair and made sure the right team was on the court at all times and making sure they transfer from the court to the side-line quickly so the next game can start. I knew I could leave the basketball in good hands of Jack and Danny, which I did as I went to go check on the football session. Liam, Jamie and Jack where also doing their jobs vey well and I trusted them that they are coaching the children fair and appropriately.

Event administration:
The administration for the event went exceptionally well, all the children knew what whos playing, whos in each team, the score, time left. Every thing ran smoothly and no problems occurred in the administration section. I personally have chosen certain children who earned themselves a certificate in basketball and also my assistant coaches chose other children for the football event which deserve a certificate.

Areas for development:

In my opinion, the event went according to plan except for the lack of number for coaches. The only part I would change is: 1. Make up a back up plan just in case low coach/children numbers 2. Have more officials in basketball as I couldnt see everything which was going on But overall I am very proud on how the event went,
