Flexible Alarm Announcement: ScadaPhone can be
configured to report alarms via cellular modem, land line voice modem (via voice, numeric pager, or TAP pager), email, or PC soundcard audio.

HIGHLIGHTS

Alarm History Reports: ScadaPhone logs all alarm

activity to an Alarm History Log. Reports can be manually or automatically generated from the log data for a specified time range.

GE N ER A L D E S CR I P IO N T
ScadaPhone is a Microsoft Windows based SCADA Alarm
and Event reporting software. If an Alarm is detected, it notifies a list of on-call operators using a variety of methods (e.g. Audio Announcement, voice over the telephone, SMS text messaging, text to pagers and e-mail notification). Alarm messages are announced using words & phrases recorded as standard WAV files. You may use the words and phrases from our library, record your own, or let the Windows Text-To-Speech interface generate the WAV files automatically.

Network Interface: Using ScadaTECs Tag Transfer Protocol

(TTP), ScadaPhone can retrieve alarm data from multiple SCADA Nodes over a TCP/IP network when used in conjunction with one of ScadaTECs TTP servers, such as OPCHub TTPServer, running on the remote computer.

Watchdog Features: ScadaPhone has numerous features

that provide means for detecting abnormal system conditions such as computer lock ups, communication failures, and equipment failures. These features provide extra layers of reliability and assurance that critical alarms will not go unreported.

Bi-directional SCADA Acknowledgement: ScadaPhone

can be configured to read and write alarm acknowledgement status bits to and from your SCADA software. This insures that an alarm acknowledged from the SCADA console will also be acknowledged in ScadaPhone and vice-versa.

Extensive Logging of Events: ScadaPhone maintains

numerous logs to document system activity such as alarm history, call history, modem command history, operator actions, SCADA polling quality, memory and CPU usage, etc.

Built-in Math & Logic Capabilities: Using ScadaPhones

built in math & logic capabilities, computed tags can be derived from expressions using analog, discrete, and string values obtained from the SCADA software. Expressions can be constructed from the following:

Arithmetic operators : +, -, /, *, DIV, MOD Relational operators : <, <=, =, <>, >=, > Logic operators : NOT, AND, OR, XOR, XNOR Analog Functions : SIN, COS, LN, SQRT, ABS, TRUNC, FRAC, ROUND Special Purpose Functions : EQMASK, COMMERR, ACKED Parenthesis are supported for dictating the order of operations.

Easy-To-Use Main Window: ScadaPhones main window is conveniently

organized using a standard Windows Tab Control so that most of the project configuration data is just a mouse click away.

Hot Backup/Standby Mode: ScadaPhone has the ability to run

in standby mode. This allows ScadaPhone to be utilized in a redundant ScadaPhone can be configured to poll any SCADA Software that supports OPC, OLE or DDE communications for retrieving the current values of data points. In addition to reading data point values from the SCADA Software, ScadaPhone can also write data into the SCADA software using ScadaPhones user defined menus. This feature allows a user to modify SCADA system analog tag values and control bits via a telephone (provided the user has sufficient security clearance). This ability to write data can also be used to propagate alarm acknowledgments received by ScadaPhone back to the SCADA system. SCADA configuration.

Password Protected Security: ScadaPhone allows the System

Administrator to assign one of four access levels to each user (Supervisor Access, Data Entry Access, Alarm Acknowledgement Access and Limited Access). ScadaPhones menus can be configured to allow or deny access to the currently logged in user based on his or her access level.

Alarm grouping: Each alarm defined in ScadaPhone has an attribute that

associates that alarm to an alarm group. Contact list and reporting action can be configured differently for each alarm group.

Scheduler: ScadaPhone implements a powerful yet easy to use

scheduler to specify what action is to be taken when an alarm is triggered and to which contact(s) the alarm is to be reported. Contact schedules denote the time periods that a contact is either available or unavailable. Scheduler can be configured for automatic future rotation.

User Defined Menus: Each project is initialized with a preconfigured

set of menus, which can be modified and embellished without limitations.

Configurable Scan Rate: The rate at which ScadaPhone polls the

SCADA server is configurable to balance polling frequency vs CPU usage.

Extensive help Documentation: ScadaPhone comes complete with

detailed Help files to fully explain all of ScadaPhones powerful features.

ScadaLink Interface: ScadaPhone retrieves data from various SCADA

servers via OPC, OLE or DDE communications. SCADA communications is setup by selecting an OPC or DDE link from the following list or by entering an OPC server name of your choice.

CI Technologies Citect GE Proficy-Cimplicity NI Lookout Rockwell RSLinx Schneider Vijeo Citect Wonderware Intouch

CMC ClearSCADA GE Proficy-iFix Rockwell RSview Siemens Simatic WinCC US Data FactoryLink

Less Expensive Limited System: If your project does not require

the full functionality of ScadaPhone, there is a limited version of ScadaPhone (ScadaPhoneLite) available for a substantially reduced price. ScadaPhone Lite is limited to 16 Alarms.

WAV Audio: ScadaPhone records and plays WAV audio
files at 8000 samples per second, 16 bits per sample, 1 channel (mono).

Requirements: Pentium based system

running any Microsoft Windows operating system and one available communications port for the voice or cellular modem. Typically ScadaPhone uses 15 megabytes of RAM and 10 megabytes of hard disk space.

Data Points: There is no limitation on the number of

active tags (data points) that can be polled by ScadaPhone.

Software: ScadaPhone is a fully compliant Windows

32 bit application. All ScadaPhone program files and the library are installed in one directory. User can define the project folder location. Multiple project folders are supported. One executive program has both the Development and the Runtime modes.

Alarms: There is no limitation to the number of alarms

that can be reported.

Alarm Groups: There is no limit to the number of

alarm groups that can be defined in each ScadaPhone project.

Hardware: ScadaPhone comes complete with an external

(preferred) or internal 56K standard voice/data/fax modem. ScadaPhone can also use any internal sound card for both the recording and playback of standard WAV audio files.

Contacts: There is no limit to the number of alarm

contacts that ScadaPhone can be configured to call.

Contact Types: ScadaPhone can be configured

to report alarms via standard telephone lines, cellular telephones, voice mail, numeric pagers, alphanumeric pagers, and email. SMS text messaging to cell phones is also supported.
