What is Heart for Change?

Heart for Change, social ventures in Colombia is a social business that encourages entrepreneurship by bringing international participants from around the world to work in development programs in Colombia. The mission of Heart for Change is to provide support to social impact projects in Colombia.

We want to create ambassadors for our cause so that volunteers share a positive image of Colombia. Through our programs, we will empower and strengthen productive processes within organizations with the sustainability, scalability and innovation that social entrepreneurs bring to the table. We want to enhance the field of social tourism in Colombia to attract socially committed people to our country.

History
After gaining valuable experience as an Atlas Service Corps fellow and working in South Africa, Andrea determined that the need for volunteer support in Colombia was as important as what shed seen in other parts of the world. With the support of her colleagues and friends, Andrea created Heart for Change with the goal of increasing capacity for Colombian non-profits.

Our Social Ventures

Heart for Change combines social entrepreneurship, workshops, tourist activities, and leisure time so that our participants can enjoy a 360 true Colombian experience with an intensive social giving and receiving learning journey. We cater to student, professionals, retirees, and groups. We have partnered with over 25 host organizations so participants have a wide range of options to choose from.

Program Details
Social ventures in urban and rural areas Departures on the beginning of the year and mid year. Taylor made experiences possible during other dates throughout the year. Program costs vary depending on social entrepreneurship length of stay and program options. Program Features: The program includes, host organization placement, workshops, lodging, meals, orientation, training, cellphone, comprehensive medical and travel insurance, and more!!
