ApolloTransplantInstitutes:(ATI) We completed 929 Solid organ transplants in a single calendar Year to be the first to reach this milestoneandbecomethebusiestprogramofitskindintheworld. NewtransplantfacilitiesstartedinBhubaneshwarandLudhianawhileconsolidatingitsprogramsin BangaloreandHyderabad. ApolloInstituteofRoboticSurgery: This was launched in Chennai in November 2011 and has successfully completed 55 complicated surgerieswithroboticassistance. ExpandingthisreachinCardiac,HeadandNeckSurgeries. RadiationTherapy: PlanstointroduceTrueBeamStx,duringthefirstquarterofFY13inBangalore.Consideredasoneofthe worlds most advanced radiation therapy machine, the TrueBeam Stx is an advanced radiation therapy machine engineered to perform the most sophisticated radiation therapy and radiosurgery procedures with pinpoint accuracy and ultrafine precision. It will enable faster, accurate tumor targeting in the treatmentofchallengingcancersthroughoutthebody,includingthoseinthebrain,pancreasandliver. CardiacExcellence: TheCardiacCoEhasthusfarcompletedover120,000surgeries,aglobalmilestone. TheFirstEditionoftheInternationalCongressonPatientSafety,BestPracticesforAsiawasheldin Hyderabadduring2122April,2011. The Department of Neurosurgery, Institute of Neurosciences, Apollo Hospitals at Bhubaneswar carriedouttwolevelcervicaldiscreplacementsbyprostheticCervicaldiscforthefirsttimeinthe stateofOdishaandeasternpartofIndia.Thepatient,aged54years,hadanexcellentNeurological recoveryandwasdischargedin3days. DuringFY12,ApolloHospitalsatDhaka,Bangalore,DelhiandChennaiwerereaccreditedbytheJCI whileApolloHospitalsatAhmedabad,NoidaandSecunderabadreceivedNABHCertification. Apollo Hospitals ,Kolkata successfully treated a patient suffering from a liver tumour with a new radiotherapytechniquecalledStereotacticBodyRadiationTherapy(SBRT).Withthistechniquehigh dose radiation was delivered precisely to the target in three fractions (one fraction on alternate days)andtheradiationtreatmentwascompletedwithinfivedays.

Hospitals Revenues of the hospital division of Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited (Standalone) (consisting of hospitalservices,hospitalbasedpharmaciesandconsulting)increasedby16.1%toRs.19,402millionin FY12comparedtoRs.16,712millioninFY11. ChennaiclusterdisplayedahealthyrevenuegrowthinQ4FY12. Hyderabad cluster continues to display strong growth. Average occupancy at 577 beds (62% utilizationon930beds)ascomparedto526beds(65%utilizationon809beds)inFY12.Strong volume growth on focus COEs like Cardiology (36%), Neurosciences (23%), Gastro (27%), Transplants(64%)andOncology(30%). Bhubaneswar occupancy at 144 beds (65% utilization on an increased capacity of 220 beds) as comparedto78bedsinFY12,duetoincreasedpatientfootfallsandadmissions.Q4FY12EBITDA marginsat16%from5%inthesameperiodlastyear. StandalonePharmacies ApolloPharmaciesreportedsustainedgrowthinrevenuesatRs.2,377millioninQ4FY12,growing30.5% from Rs. 1,821 million in Q4FY11. The SAP business also demonstrated continued operational improvement with expansion in EBITDA of 115 bps from Rs. 24 million in Q4FY11 to Rs. 59 million in Q4FY12.ThebusinessreportedimprovedprofitabilitywithanEBITofRs.36millioninQ4FY12compared toanEBITofRs.6millioninQ4FY11.
