Cooper v FAA - Operation Safe Pilot

Court documents and articles related to "Operation Safe Pilot", the 2003-2005 joint investigation by the DOT-OIG, SSA-OIG, and FAA into Northern California pilots with FAA medical certificates who were currently collecting SSA disability benefits - or had previously collected SSA disability benefits - without disclosing those benefits on FAA medical certificate applications. The investigation resulted in multiple deliberate violations of the Privacy Act of 1974 with the illegal wholesale exchange among the three agencies of confidential records of more than 45,000 FAA licensed Northern California pilots.
