Alberta Cabinet Mandate Letters, 2011-2012

This collection contains the mandate letters Premier Alison Redford issued to her first cabinet on Nov. 3, 2011, as well as the mandate letters issued on June 4, 2012. Redford was elected leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Alberta on Oct. 1, 2011. One month later, on Nov. 3, she issued mandate letters to her new cabinet ministers. The province held a general election in April 2012, and Redford was elected premier and subsequently revamped her cabinet. On June 21, her office released a single mandate letter for the entire reshaped cabinet, plus new mandate letters for her new assistant ministers (there are seven). It is not clear whether the new ministers have been asked to assume the goals given their predecessors. In any event, the government deleted the Nov. 3 mandate letters from its websites, so I've posted them here.
