Reynolds Price

Hailed by writers like Harper Lee, Eudora Welty, and Flannery O'Connor, Reynolds Price (1933-2011) was one of the great writers of the American South, author of over 30 books of fiction and nonfiction, most notably A Long and Happy Life (1962), Kate Vaiden (1986, National Book Critics Circle Award), Blue Calhoun (1992), and A Whole New Life (1994), a memoir of surviving spinal cancer.
