Description
You can record a local audio file with Skype now. Isn't that cool? https://support.skype.com/en/faq/FA12395/how-do-i-record-my-skype-calls
Interview shows are one of the most popular styles of podcasting. If you podcast long enough, you're probably going to end up talking with someone over Skype, and you're going to talk with guests who don't have good microphones and don't understand how important audio quality is, or what they can do to prevent common issues like background noise or room echo. It's your responsibility to clearly explain what you need from your guest. If you leave it up to chance, don't be surprised if they send you a recording with poor audio quality.
I'm fed up with listening to podcasts where the guests sound like crap, so I decided to do an episode about how to get a better audio recordings from your guests (or even your co-hosts).

The Podcast Gear I Use and Recommend: 2018: I will now update this again. Here you go: https://kit.com/thepodcastdude My second episode was a guide to gear for podcasting, but I’ve learned a lot in the past months, so I wanted to make an updated guide. I said back then that if you couldn’t afford good gear, you should wait and save up money. I was wrong about that. I still believe that great gear will give you better sound quality which will help your show be more successful, but I don’t believe you should wait to get started. There’s so much you need to learn when you’re first starting out; great gear isn’t going to magically make the process easier. It’s best to get started with what you have, or buy what you can afford and then upgrade later. So let’s talk about podcasting on a budget. I’m going to cover gear for those of you who have little-to-no money to spend, and also share what I think is the best podcasting gear so that you’ll know what to get in the future wh by Podcasting with Aaron
