The Context of White Supremacy hosts the 5th study session on Lothrop Stoddard's seminal work, The Rising Tide Of Color Against White World Supremacy. In the weeks before her 2015 passing, third generation physician and counter-racist scientist Dr. Frances Cress Welsing encouraged black people to methodically study Stoddard to better understand White Supremacy. A journalist and Harvard-educated historian, Stoddard was an intellectual icon of the early 1900's. He was one of the most prominent Eugenics crusaders - the belief that better Whites should have more children, while lesser Whites and especially non-white people should not procreate. During last week's session, Stoddard analyzed the horrors of World War I. He bemoans the loss of young White Men in the prime of their sexual potency and the psychological trama the global slaughter inflicted on White soldiers and civilians alike. Stoddard regularly reminds readers that the great White Race is the minority on a planet dominated by sexually ravenous dark people. Unfortunately for Stoddard, the "best" stock of Whites are having few kids, which suggests a future with even fewer Whites. We'll see how this relates to President-elect Donald J. Trump's victory. We'll also include commentary on Stoddard's 1929 debate with W. E. B. DuBois; the two discussed whether the negro should seek "cultural equality."
