The Academic Advantage is affiliated with Laurel Springs Distance Education. Laurel Springs is accredited through the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. Students who participate in this program can take full-credit courses. The distance education program provides a traditional schooling experience with tests, grades and diplomas in a oneon-one setting. The schedule, including start and end dates, are flexible. The tutors work around students schedules and parents can cancel sessions by 7 p.m. the night before an appointment. Since Laurel Springs is fully-accredited, a childs current school will accept credits taken through the program. This works well for students who are interested in taking additional courses or making up a class. At the present time no A.P. courses are offered.

Teachers are from top universities across the country Educators all received high scores on the tests they teach Courses offered in both group and individual settings Courses available through parent-funded and government-funded programs

"The Academic Advantage has a program that is outstanding. I have yet to come across an after-school educational program that is more effective at equipping children with the tools they need to succeed in their schooling and beyond. It's no wonder The Academic Advantage has risen to become one of the nation's leading tutoring programs."

"By offering specialized instruction, The Academic Advantage's highly educated tutors help students gain the tools they need to excel academically and build confidence... Arnold Schwarzenegger
Governor of California (2003-2011

While my friends' children were enrolled in test preparation courses made up of big groups, my kids were taking a one-on-one course in my own home. My son was taking the ISEE course, while my daughter took the SAT course. The sessions were very informative and completely individualized! My kids learned test taking strategies and concepts that were essential to their success. That probably explains why my son got into the private school of his choice, and my daughter's SAT score increased 230 points. Thanks Academic Advantage!

After consecutive report cards where he received C's, my son lost hope. If it wasn't for his upbeat and experienced tutor who changed his entire perspective on school, he would still be receiving C's instead of A's and B's!
Craig Wernerberg, Encinitas

Parents are guaranteed that their child will improve at least one grade level, for academic courses, over the course of the tutoring sessions.

If parents arent satisfied for any reason they receive the first hour free.
Parents are required to sign a form acknowledging company policies but there are no long-term commitments.
