Structure & Written Expression

Structure (15 numbers) Objective: Able to identify and make a well structured sentence by choosing one appropriate answer (a, b, c, or d). Example: The lecturer .......... the class yesterday. A. teach B. teaches C. taught D. she teaches

Written expression
Written Expression(25 numbers) Objective: having the ability to identify a well structured sentence so that the students are able to identify the incorrect part written on the sentence. Example: There is many students in the class. A B C D

S V Agreement
The Subject has to be appropriated (cocok) with its verb. Example: ...... was backed up for miles on the freeway. A. Yesterday B. In the morning C. Traffic D. Cars

S V agreement
Pay attention to the subject, whether it is singular or plural. Pay attention to the tenses.

Parallel structure
Parallel structure occurs if a word or a clause is connected with another word or clause by using a connector, e.g: and, but, or, both....and, either ..... or, neither.....nor, and comparison.
