BUSINESS ETHICS
Business ethics is nothing but the application of moral guidelines in business. Business ethics (also corporate ethics) is a form of applied ethics or professional ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment. It applies to all aspects of business conduct and is relevant to the conduct of individuals and entire organizations. Ethics provide the foundation for which a civilized society can exist and therefore they are a key element in the success of all business.

FINDINGS
moral quality is in a state of decline

Reason: Categorical Confusion between virtues and values

For example, many believe that freedom and responsibility should be in balance, as though they are of equal importance.
Freedom is a value Freedom is a value

CONTINUED
Our culture has placed the value of freedom before the virtue of responsibility. The impact has been disastrous. Values should never take precedence over virtues. In fact, responsibility is more important than freedom. Without responsibility, I cannot be free. Irresponsible people forfeit their freedom to their irresponsibility.

Managerial Implications Of Business Ethics

Creating, distributing, and continually improving a company's code of ethics is one usual step managers can take to establish an ethical workplace. Another step managers can take is to create a special office or department with the responsibility of ensuring ethical practices within the organization. For example, management at a major supplier of missile systems and aircraft components has established a corporate ethics office. Another way to promote ethics in the workplace is to provide the work force with appropriate training

While many businesses have codes of ethics, the words written in a formal code are valuable only if their intent is reflected in the actions of the people who represent the organization.

Conclusion
Of course, a practical, modern and logical system should be approached in order to maintain the code of ethics in an organization. Only then, the ethics would be followed properly in a business. Because, through the practical system, the following of the business ethics would be guaranteed. So, the methods should be followed properly and managers must keep and eye and supervise the situation, so that they can successfully imply the business ethics in a business. Businesses that are managed by leaders who conduct themselves in an ethical manner and who reward employees for doing what is right are much more likely to be characterized by a positive ethical culture. With so many reasons why business ethics are important, it's easy to see why creating an ethical culture is something that many companies are focusing on. Organizations that are committed to long term success recognize and realize that creating a culture where ethical behaviors are rewarded and encouraged is the ultimate key to survival today and growth in the future.
