1.1 BACKGROUND RESEARCH


Located at Taman Kuala Kangsar in Kuala Kangsar, Perak.

It is located in the downstream of Sungai Kangsar, where it flows along Sungai Perak.
the main town in the administrative district of Kuala Kangsar. The number of population in Taman Kuala Kangsar is around 3000-5000 : -Malays ( 90% ) -Chinese (10%) -Indian ( 10% )

1.2 OBJECTIVES
identify the importance of landscapes in

Taman Kuala Kangsar identify the factors which affecting the value of property identify whether the landscapes can affect the value of property study the problems in term of economy, social and physical observe the surrounding area which can affect the use of landscaping study the existence of landscape in a particular area which is affected by the demands of residents

1.3 SCOPE & LIMITATION OF RESEARCH :


Based on our observation, mostly of them are agree that landscape are very important to their neighborhood.

CHAPTER 2: RESEARCH METHODOLOGY; SAMPLING TECHNIQUE


Sampling is the process of selecting a sample from a population. There are several of technique sampling. The best sampling technique is simple random sampling. Most suitable. Easily to apply. Have an equal chance to be selected in the study. The results can be projected on population.

2.1 RESEARCH METHODOLOGY


A method to determine the best way to reach the respondents 4 methods of collecting data face-to-face interview

telephone interview
direct questionnaire direct observation

2.2 CONCLUSION OF RESEARCH METHODOLOGY


All methods are suitable to collect the data

The best data collection method is direct observation method


Simple

Give a convenience to obtain the actual data


Face-to-face interview is a bit difficult

CHAPTER 3: ANALYSIS OF DATA AND FINDING

3.1 Park variables


Most of respondents think that park variables are important in landscaping. -for release tension -give convinience for residents -view to open space and green area due to get the fresh environment.

3.2 LOCATIONAL AND NEIGHBOURHOOD


Most of the respondents think that the factors of location and neighbourhood are important in landscaping.
-aesthetic

value of residential

-give convienience and make the resident feel comfort to live the chosen area.
-easy for the residential to go the central business district

-zoning will differentiate one area of house from another area of house

3.3 BUILDING VARIABLES


Most of the respondents think that building variables are important in landscaping -make the improvement of the poor condition of house to become better. -as aesthetic value and pride of ownership. -can do a lot of landscaping to make their surrounding of house look beautiful and more attractive.

3.4 SOFTCAPES ELEMENTS


Most of the respondents think that softcapes elements some have mixed feeling which dont mind if this elements is apply on landscaping or not. -not all people able to apply a softcapes elements to their house -the function is only to make the area of houses look more attractive

3.5 HARDSCAPES ELEMENTS


Half of the respondents think that the hardscapes elements are important in landscaping of a residential. While, another respondents think that it is not important to apply this elements in their residential. -give convenience to the residents used this elements

The objective is achieved

Landscaping is important to them because they think landscape give a good convenience to them developer did not give good facilities to residents
Has lot of green area

Since the area of study is located far behind the industrial area, there will be less safety to the residents How important safety to a residential area
