Younger members of the Royal Family such as Prince William and Prince Harry - play a role in important national events and commemorations. When official events such as receptions, State banquets and garden parties are held, the Royal Family supports The Queen in making her guests welcome.

Buckingham Palace is the Queen's official and main royal London home. It has been the official London residence of Britain's monarchy since 1837. Queen Victoria was the first monarch to live there.
