IDENTITY Instructions
Choose a leader, a secretary, two reporters and two watchers Study the script and answer these questions on a piece of white bond paper. After answering the questions, practice the script to perform a role-play
IDENTITY Questions
What do we usually do when a friend or someone important to us leaves for a very long time? What is the script all about? What do you think did Jesus feel about Judass betrayal and Peters denial? Why did he feel that way? What do you think is the most important thing that Jesus said in the script? Why is it the most important?
What do we usually do when a friend or someone important to us will leave for a very long time?
What is more painful than to be betrayed and denied by your own trusted friends? He loved his own in the world and he loved them to the end (John 13:1). I no longer call you slaves, because a slave does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends, because I have told you everything I have heard from my Father
After realizing what he had done, we know that Judas committed suicide by hanging himself. On the other hand, Peter showed how much sorry he was and Jesus gave him a second chance. When Jesus appeared to them on His resurrection, Peter expressed his love for Jesus (John 21:15-19). He led so many people to God by his preaching and example until he finally offered his life when he was crucified in Rome.
We Respond:
Jesus accepted us even if we have betrayed and denied Him many times by our bad deeds. It is not too late to change our ways and to be faithful to Him. We should imitate Peter for his sincere act of asking for forgiveness from Jesus. He also kept his promise to Jesus, after his denial, that he would follow Him.
To Jesus
Let us begin imitating Peters positive attitude and values by writing a simple letter to Jesus.
Write the times when you have betrayed or denied Jesus by your wrong deeds. Tell Jesus the things that you will do to make up for your mistakes.
Prayer
Father in Heaven, ever-living source of all that is good, keep me faithful in serving You. Help me to drink of Christ's Truth, and fill my heart with His Love so that I may serve You in faith and love and reach eternal life. In the Sacrament of the Eucharist You give me the joy of sharing Your Life. Keep me in Your presence. Let me never be separated from You and help me to do Your Will. Amen
Second Day
What do you do so that you will not forget a very important event in your life such as your birthday, family reunion, or school outing?
Role Play
What do you think is the most important thing that Jesus said during the last supper? Why is it the most important? What was the instruction that Jesus gave the apostles?
NEW COMMANDMENT
love one another as I love you (John 15:12).
He loved us even when we were still sinners. The Lord asks us to love as he does, even our enemies, to make ourselves the neighbor of those farthest away, and to love children and the poor as Christ himself (CCC 1825).
NEW COMMANDMENT
Love was the reason why he became man; love was the reason why he died on the cross; and love is the only reason why we can be saved. We can be saved because we can also love others. Jesus wants us to know that we are also capable of loving. Love can save us because God Himself is love.
We Respond
Through the breaking of the bread and the proclamation of the Word of God, the apostles fulfilled Jesuss instructions. Each day we celebrate the Holy Eucharist so that we could always see, smell, touch, and feel the presence of Jesus among us. Moreover, in our daily lives we also live out the new commandment by our example; how we relate with others.

Third Day
Jesus wanted us to remember Him. Therefore, He instituted the Holy Eucharist during the Last Supper so that His presence could remain with us forever. How did he institute the Holy Eucharist? What did He give the apostles so that they will always remember and feel His presence?
Jesus transformed the bread and wine into His own Body and Blood in the Last Supper. Therefore, everytime we celebrate the Holy Eucharist we remember Jesus and we make present His sacrifice for our salvation. Jesus becomes truly present to us when we receive Him in the form of the Holy Bread. Can you think of another way on how we can remember Jesus?
When we follow the new commandment of Jesus we become living reminders of Jesuss presence. Jesus said, This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another" (John 13:35). If we love one another others will recognize that we are followers of Jesus. Today, let us think of ways on how we can become living reminders of Jesus loving presence.
Closure
How did the apostles become living reminders of Jesuss presence?
Can we also do the same? How?
