Cluster Planning

Life Changing Times

The purpose of the Revelation of Baha’u’llah -
 Not Just another religion that adds to the
prevailing confusion
 To establish a Divine Civilization. “All men
have been created to carry forward an ever-
advancing Civilization… To act like beasts of
the field is unworthy of man.”
Building of Divine Civilization
The Plan – Divine in Origin, has flowed from
the pen of the Center of the Covenant.
Through the power of the Covenant the world
can be united and a new World Order be
established.

We must turn to

the Centre of our Faith

The Universal House of Justice

 is “Under the care and protection of the Abha

Beauty”, “under the shelter and unerring
guidance of the Exalted One.”

 “Whatsoever they decide is of God”

 “He has commanded the firm believers to obey

that blessed, sanctified and all-subduing Body,
whose sovereignty is divinely ordained and of
the Kingdom of Heaven.”
The Divine Plan – A Global
Spiritual Enterprise

 The Plan – Sacred and yet scientific – a

systematic process – organic
 166 years out of 500,000 years !

 Conviction and Constancy, Fidelity and

Courage
 Advancement of the process of entry by
troops - the single aim of the Plan until
2021. It should be our priority; it allows us
to fulfill the very purpose of our lives.
1500 IPGs by April 2011
The Divine Plan – A Time Frame

 Every thing in the world has a time

frame
 Divine deadlines to be met

 Planting season – if you are late, you

miss the planting, and you will be
deprived !
Purpose of Our Life

 What is the purpose of our Life ?

 Food ? Relaxation ? Enjoyment ? Career ?
Family ? Wealth ?
 “The World we live in is spiritually destitute,
morally bankrupt, politically disrupted,
socially convulsed, economically paralyzed…

–Shoghi Effendi
 We have to dedicate our talents, our time, our
resources, and our selves to this enterprise
Follow the Example of
‘Abdu’l-Bahá
“You have observed that while 'Abdu'l-Bahá
was in the utmost bodily weakness and
feebleness, while he was indisposed, and
had not the power to move -- notwithstanding
this physical state he traveled through many
countries, in Europe and America, and in
churches, meetings and conventions was
occupied with the promotion of the divine
principles and summoned the people to the
manifestation of the Kingdom of Abhá.”
What is our Work ?
 What result is forthcoming from material rest,
tranquillity, luxury and attachment to this corporeal world?
It is evident that the man who pursues these things will
in the end become afflicted with regret and loss.
 Consequently, one must close his eyes wholly to these
thoughts, long for eternal life, the sublimity of the
world of humanity, the celestial developments, the
Holy Spirit, the promotion of the Word of God, the
guidance of the inhabitants of the globe, the
promulgation of universal peace and the
proclamation of the oneness of the world of
humanity! This is the work! Otherwise like unto other
animals and birds one must occupy himself with the
requirements of this physical life, the satisfaction of which
is the highest aspiration of the animal kingdom, and one
must stalk across the earth like unto the quadrupeds.
We cannot be richer than a cow

 Consider ye! No matter how much man gains

wealth, riches and opulence in this world, he will
not become as independent as a cow. For these
fattened cows roam freely over the vast
tableland. All the prairies and meadows are
theirs for grazing, and all the springs and rivers
are theirs for drinking! No matter how much they
graze, the fields will not be exhausted! It is
evident that they have earned these material
bounties with the utmost facility.
We cannot have a more ideal life
than a Bird
Still more ideal than this life is the life of the
bird. A bird, on the summit of a mountain,
on the high, waving branches, has built
for itself a nest more beautiful than the
palaces of the kings! The air is in the
utmost purity, the water cool and clear as
crystal, the panorama charming and
enchanting. In such glorious
surroundings, he expends his numbered
days. All the harvests of the plain are his
possessions, having earned all this wealth
without the least labor.
Be Human – Acquire Not Material
but Spiritual Perfections
Hence, no matter how much man may advance in
this world, he shall not attain to the station of this
bird! Thus it becomes evident that in the matters of
this world, however much man may strive and work
to the point of death, he will be unable to earn the
abundance, the freedom and the independent life of
a small bird. This proves and establishes the fact
that man is not created for the life of this ephemeral
world -- nay, rather, is he created for the
acquirement of infinite perfections, for the
attainment to the sublimity of the world of humanity,
to be drawn nigh unto the divine threshold, and to
sit on the throne of everlasting sovereignty!
(Abdu'l-Baha, Tablets of the Divine Plan, p. 43)
Blessed are those who have
laboured
 The favours and confirmations He has
vouchsafed for those labouring diligently and
sacrificially in the forefront of the teaching work.
 Who are His followers and what do they do ?
-
 Let them .. Not mistake the true purpose of this
global enterprise… [nor] deviate from this path
…..
May they, one and all ..[summon] courage to make
whatever sacrifices .. to ensure the resounding
success of the Plan ..
“The hour of their
mightiest exertions…must
coincide with…the lowest
ebb in mankind's fast-
declining fortunes.”
- Shoghi Effendi
This Region
 Isthere receptivity only in certain other
countries?
 What about in our own and neighboring
countries?
 The UK is going to establish IPGs in …
new clusters by the end of the Plan
 What about our own country?
 Apply the learning generated to your
particular circumstances
 Act with boldness and determination
Readiness for Launching
 30-40 Human Resources engaged in core
activities
 Capacity of the Institute as the engine of
growth
 Ability to mobilize – hold Reflection meetings

 Functioning of Cluster agencies – managing

and sustaining growth

Personal Plan

“In so responding, each individual, too, must make

a conscious decision as to what he or she will
do to serve the Plan, and as to how, where and
when to do it. This determination enables the
individual to check the progress of his actions
and, if necessary, to modify the steps being
taken. Becoming accustomed to such a
procedure of systematic striving lends meaning
and fulfillment to the life of any Bahá'í.”
(The Universal House of Justice, Ridvan 155, 1998)
