It refers to the controversy generated by land acquisition of the proposed nano factory of Tata motors in Hooghly district. Tata motors started constructing a factory to manufacture their $2500 car, which agitated the farmers and other land owners. Tata was ruling out an acquisition of 997 acres out of which was the most of the land belonged to Farmers. Main reason behind the controversy was the most of the farmers livelihood depended upon the land through cultivation which resulted in the removal of the Tatas setup in Singur.

Tata have set up their new Production plant in Gujarat. It took them 14 months to build this plant and relocating them self to a new place.

 When

Tata engineers began making the Tata Nano, it was seen as an act of faith; what they have accomplished is an act of courage.
