A stock exchange is an institution, organization or association that serves as a

market for trading financial instruments such as stocks, bonds and their related
derivatives. The stock exchange provide a trading platform, where buyers and sellers can meet to transact their securities .Stock exchanges in India, under the overall supervision of the regulatory authority, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

BSE The working of stock exchanges in India started in 1875. BSE is the oldest stock market in India. The history of Indian stock trading starts with 318 persons taking

membership in Native Share and Stock Brokers Association, which our now know
by the name Bombay Stock Exchange or BSE in short. In 1965, BSE got permanent recognition from the Government of India. National Stock Exchange comes second to BSE in terms of popularity. BSE and NSE represent themselves as synonyms of Indian stock market. The history of Indian stock market is almost the same as the history of BSE.

National Stock Exchange (NSE):

The National Stock Exchange of India was set up by Government of India on the recommendation of Pherwani Committee in 1991.Promoted by leading financial institutions essentially led by IDBI at the behest of the Government of India, it was incorporated in November 1992 as a tax-paying company. In April 1993, it was

recognized as a stock exchange under the Securities


Contracts Regulation, 1956.

NSE commenced operations in the Wholesale Debt Market segment in June 1994. The Capital market (Equities) segment of the NSE commenced operations

in November 1994, while operations in the Derivatives


segment commenced in June 2000. NSE has a market capitalization of around US$985 billion and over 1,646 listings as of December 2011

FUNDEMANTAL ANALYSIS
Fundamental analysis of a business involves analyzing its financial

statements and health, its management and competitive advantages,


and its competitors and markets. When applied to future and forex, it focuses on the overall state of the economy, interest rates,

production, earnings, and management. When analyzing a stock,


futures contract, or currency using fundamental analysis there are two basic approaches one can use; bottom up analysis and top down

analysis.

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
In finance, technical analysis is a security analysis discipline used for

forecasting the direction of prices through the study of past market data,
primarily price and volume. Behavioral economics and quantitative analysis use many of the same tools of technical analysis, which, being an

aspect of active management, stands in contradiction to much of modern


portfolio theory. The efficacy of both technical and fundamental analysis is disputed by the efficient-market hypothesis which states that stock market prices are essentially unpredictable.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE To know the future movement to selected companies share through Fundamental and Technical analysis.

To understand how best we can use this analysis is to meet the

financial goals of the investor.
