Stock Exchange
A stock exchange is an institution, organization or association that serves as a
market for trading financial instruments such as stocks, bonds and their related
derivatives. The stock exchange provide a trading platform, where buyers and sellers can meet to transact their securities .Stock exchanges in India, under the overall supervision of the regulatory authority, the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).

BSE The working of stock exchanges in India started in 1875. BSE is the oldest stock market in India. The history of Indian stock trading starts with 318 persons taking
membership in Native Share and Stock Brokers Association, which our now know
by the name Bombay Stock Exchange or BSE in short. In 1965, BSE got permanent recognition from the Government of India. National Stock Exchange comes second to BSE in terms of popularity. BSE and NSE represent themselves as synonyms of Indian stock market. The history of Indian stock market is almost the same as the history of BSE.
The National Stock Exchange of India was set up by Government of India on the recommendation of Pherwani Committee in 1991.Promoted by leading financial institutions essentially led by IDBI at the behest of the Government of India, it was incorporated in November 1992 as a tax-paying company.
