William Shakespeare had only one name; His father was John Shakespeare, and his mother was

Mary Arden; so his full name was, William Shakespeare Arden.

INFLUENCES:
The many influences around him such as His parents, and his wife and children, seemed to keep his life changing constantly. Also the rapid change of rulers, and religions, may have been a crucial reason for some of his inspirations, and finest literary works.

Shakespeares influence on modern English is not only visible in everyday speech, but also in the fact that his work has survived over four hundred years and it continues to be performed and read worldwide.

MOTTO:
Non sanz droict (Not without right). It is the motto in the coat of arms of William Shakespeare.

Poems:
The Rape of Lucrece: Shakespeare's narrative poem resembling a revenge tragedy. Venus and Adonis: Shakespeare's narrative love poem. A Lover's Complaint: As the title suggests, this is a complaint poem, popular in medieval and Renaissance times.

LINGUISTIC CONTRIBUTIONS :
Shakespeare's writings greatly influenced the entire English language. Prior to and during Shakespeare's time, the grammar and rules of English were not fixed. But once Shakespeare's plays became popular in the late seventeenth and eighteenth century, they helped contribute to the standardization of the English language.

Among Shakespeare's greatest contributions to the English language must be the introduction of new vocabulary and phrases which have enriched the language making it more colorful and expressive. Many of Shakespeare's original phrases are still used in

conversation and language today.
