Introduction Paragraph:
Hook something that gets the reader interested. Question, description, Statement, statistic, fact. Etc. Connecting info from the hook to the main topic/ background information. Give the thesis statement with 3 clear points of development. Thesis Statement = The main idea statementwith three points of development.

Body Paragraphs
Purpose
The body paragraphs in your essay support the main idea in your thesis statement by breaking it down into smaller ideas or subtopics. Ideas in your paragraphs should relate back to the thesis statement.

The conclusion paragraph in an essay of literary analysis functions as follows:


It finishes off the essay and tells the reader where the writer has brought them. It restates the thesis and contains echoes of the introduction and body paragraphs without listing the points covered in the essay. It creates a broader implication of the ideas discussed and answers the questions: so what? Or why do we care?
