Islam: A Comprehensive Overview of the

Islamic Religion

Islam, encompassing numerous countries, is one of the worlds largest religions. Comprised of approximately 1.5 billion adherents, Islam is second only to Christianity. Adherents of the Islamic religion are generally referred to as Muslims, and the Islamic god is typically referred to by the term Allah.

Allison and Jasmine made pastries using Khushkanan dough. The pastries are oblong dry biscuits, made from flour kneaded with Sesame oil. The pastries are usually filled with sugar, almonds, cloves and cinnamon. Additionally, they are often topped with honey, or sugared rose water. ~
