What includes CSR?

According to Burke and Logsdon: To satisfy the customers ,shareholders ,employees , and all other stake holders. To be a good corporate citizen, protecting and enhancing the environment as well as discharging social responsibilities in order to ensure sustainable growth.

Objective of the Study

The level of awareness of term CSR among the employees of NALCO and Public. What do the Employees of NALCO and Public mean by the term CSR? To what extent the employees of NALCO and public are aware of NALCO involvement in CSR? Participation of employees in CSR

Methodology of study
1st phase: In depth Qualitative interview through a structured questionnaire for gaining insight of the CSR Activity in NALCO and capture the polices and practices. 2nd phase: questionnaire were given to the employees and neighborhood community. 3rd phase: worked on the data.

Sample design and size

376 samples (218 are employees and 158 are public belongs to Bhubaneswar, Angul and Damanjodi . The present study is based on the survey conducted from Dec 2009 to May 2010.

The level of awareness of term CSR among the employees of NALCO and Public.

Ho: There is no significant difference in awareness of the term CSR b/w employee and public. H1: There is significant difference in awareness of the term CSR b/w employee and public.
