Two primary NDMP functions:

Data Server: reads & writes data to/ from disk that is part of NDMP stream Tape Server: reads & writes an NDMP datastream from/to a tape device

Data and control information sent from Data Server on File Module to DMA with storage connected directly to DMA

Storwize V7000 Unified contains a preloaded copy of the GPFS on Linux Hierachical Storage Management (HSM) client component of IBM Tivoli Storage Manager for Space Management (IBM Program 5608-E12) (hereinafter individually referred to as a "TSM HSM Client"). Each File Module using the TSM HSM Client to migrate files to and from an external TSM storage pool, Licensee separately must have obtained or must obtain:
