Role Of Larchmont
The Larchmont consulting group consists of a team of professionals dedicating to providing the most effective and cost efficient support services in the areas of Financial Management and Accounting , Human Resource and Personnel matters and Labor and Employment issue.

Introduction about the case i.e. Mentor Relationship turns upside down
Two character in the case : Carol lee , employee of the company as writer and editor. Walter , Senior vice president and the mentor as well as carol lees boss.

SWOT Analysis
Strength:

Carol lee cemented her relationship with new

subordinates. Also she made a good relation with each employee individually to forge a new working relationships.

Inadequacy of experience as compared to Walter. Carol lee was so reluctant to do this operation .

Work at higher position . Carol lee has to now undertake a role of leader.

Threats:

Carol lee was unable to discuss her proposed solutions directly with Walter. Carol lee was hesitant in doing this operation or task.

Problem Identification

The first problem was carol lees initial

awkwardness over creating relationship with new subordinates. Carol lee was new and inexperienced. Carol lee was having discomfort over reviewing the new venture / assignment history.

Carol lee was inexpert employee and it was tough for her to rescue the startup operation and make it successful. Communication gap between carol and Walter and she was unable to contact him directly over the matter.

Solution to the problems

Carol lee should not be hesitant , she should be

friendly and frank with the subordinates and senior authorities. Carol should try to do her assignment by herself without any help i.e. she should become independent. Carol should start discussing with superiors and team members about the operation she is undergoing.

Conclusion
The venture started by Walter for Larchmont

was faltered and Carol lee was promoted to take his place . She was given the assignment of rescuing the startup software publishing operation. Carol lee was discomfort over the assignment as she began to review the history of the new venture.

Carol lee was unable to discuss her any proposed solutions directly with Walter. For Carol it is difficult to turn the operation around as we know she is new and was not having so much experience and it seems difficult for her.

Q1) What is carols role in walter career development now? Should Larchmont have any such role? Why or why not? Ans:-Carol is now the present boss of Walter , who was her former boss, she should discuss with him about the project which was not successful under the leadership of Walter .Carol Should motivate Walter to be part of her project ,because she is facing obstacles. yes, Larchmont have such role because it is only employee who helps the organization to achieve the goals ,so the role of motivator leadership are the tools of higher authority to build a good profitable relationships.

Q2) What advice would you offer Carol for approaching Walter? Ans:- Carol should approach Walter in an informal way because she was facing difficulties in discussing any of her proposal solutions with him directly, with this approach she can talk with Walter about the problems easily. Q3) If Carol has to dismiss Walter, how specifically would you suggest she proceed? Ans:- As we know the leaders are the pillars of the organization, Carol who is now the boss, she should not consider the situation in a personal point of view rather she should give more priority and loyalty to the organization. So, when we talk about dismissal of Walter ,she should dismiss him in a formal way as per the organizational policy.

Q4) Assume Carol has heard a rumor that Walter has considerd resigning.What should she do about it? Ans:- Carol should make a relationship with Walter to make him stay in the organization.She should conduct a meeting and invite Walter and ask him what problems he faced in our organization.
