OVERVIEW
Introduction. What is Bionic contact lens? Working Principle. Advantages. Challenges faced. Applications. Conclusion and future enhancement.
2

Introduction
Bionics- applying electronics in biology. Bionic vision-restore the sense of vision to people. Ranges from entire bionic eye to just contact lens. Bionic contact lens.

Contd..
AR: Is a live , direct or indirect view of physical, real world environment whose elements are augmented by computer generated sensory input.

ELECTRONIC CONTACT LENS

What is Bionic Contact Lens?

Conventional contact lenses with aided bionics technology. Have functional electronic circuits. Platform to build a display using micro LEDs. Biosensors can be added to the circuitry. Capable to connect to a wireless device.

ELECTRONIC CONTACT LENS

ELECTRONIC CONTACT LENS COMPRISES

HOW IT WORKS?

BEING MADE ALL THESE POSSIBILITIES

ADVANTAGES
Easy to pop in and pop out. Display is semitransparent. Avoids finger pricking technology to test glucose level in blood. Temperature consideration.

CHALLENGES FACED
Reverse communication. Miniaturization. Fabrication Process. Study of effects on Health.

10

APPLICATIONS
Virtual reality training and/or for gaming application. Heads up displays

Helps for navigation

Holographic driving control panels.
