Introduction
Background: "A picture is worth 1,000 words". And in this day and age, pictures often offer more of an attraction rather than reading. Reading takes time. If we can just glance at a picture to describe what is being said, it not only takes less time, but it attracts more attention rather than words would. Images could express words. Images make us think widely and affect our feelings. Images mode could be informative, persuasive, argumentative, expressive/entertaining. Each mode of those modes could tell us different things and makes us think in different ways. Cameras are everywhere. I dont imagine myself going out without taking my camera with me. I can not wait to take pictures of the beauty of nature and share them in my instegram app. I like to take pictures of my everyday activities. The power of images: Photo analysis helps us think more widely about images. We ask ourselves what does the image show? Who is in it? When was it taken? Where was it taken? What was the purpose of capturing this image? How are the elements arranged? How does this photo affect us?

There is a strong relationship between images and power because images reflect power. Images are important because they tell effective and powerful stories. They tell stories of war, sadness or happiness moments in peoples life and special events. The pictures that state power affect and enhance our emotions and attitudes. Images engage our imagination and increase our creative thinking. Powerful images could make us understand the world better. They reveal the secret of many issues whether they are political, economical or social. Powerful pictures could also influence decision-making. Most of our decisions are based on our feelings and emotions. The powerful pictures I have discovered were more talking about sadness. The pain that people get when they lose somebody is so powerful. Moreover, the natural disasters that could destroys peoples life and make them lose their house are considered to be a form of power. There are many memorial images that state power such as: the sadness 9/11 memorial.

My project is going to be presenting the collections of my images with the PowerPoint slide presentation. I would like my audience accept my ideas and think deeply about the images. The true meaning behind my project has a memo of power; Its done as simple as possible so its more understandable by the audience. I am going to be using different styles of emotions to display my collections. I wish the information presented about the pictures will be useful and meaningful to my audience. The picture that is involving to me is the one that has the title Robert peraza pauses at his sons name. It shows the feeling when you lose some body. It reminds me of my best friend who passed away in a car accident and how sad her mom was during her funeral. In addition, this accident hurt me a lot thinking of how the children died. I was so sad about what happened. This picture will forever remain in my heart. The image that was most helpful to me in learning more about the topical area was the one that had the title A mother comforts her son in Concord, Alabama, near his house which was completely destroyed by a tornado in April of 2011. This image helped me learn more about the power and what power has to do with pictures. I understand that there is a strong power in the natural factors such as disasters, tornado and hurricanes. No body can control this power because I belive that its the power from the god.

The exploration of the analysis of the image Luo Bagon points at his half-demolished apartment building that stands in the middle of a newly-built highway. was vey helpful to me reading and analyzing the image gives me a strong feeling of power and it heightens my critical thinking because I think building this house in the middle of the highway could state a strong power: the power of the brave and not fearful.
This project is very helpful to me because it gives an idea of how to develop my critical thinking by analyzing the pictures and it gives me an idea of how to create pictures to attract others. Analyzing images can make more knowledgeable about the world.
