Pre-Equalization
Optical Equalization: Pre-Equalization: built-in VOA inside transponders, NMS-based adjustable. Gain Flattening Filter: inside EDFAs or in-line, fixed. Equalization station: for more than 10 OAs cascading, NMS-based adjustable. Benefit : Optimizes channel OSNR. Depress EDFA gain competition. Enhances transport distance. Internal Use 23
